One of the many beautiful campgrounds along Cascade Lakes Scenic Highway. This campground is excellent for tent camping, and has quite a few sites. Some of them are reservable, and some of them have water access. There is fresh water, a waste water dump and vault toilets (outhouses), there is also recycling/garbage service here as well. The nights we stayed here in early summer were very cold, which is typical for early Oregon summers in this area. But because of the cold, the mosquitos were not bad. There is ample firewood on the ground in the form of downed trees / snags. Just up the road you'll find Lava Lake, which has RV Sites with full hookups, boat, kayak and canoe rentals along with a small store. They also appear to sell fuel, propane, and have showers available.

Great spots, first come first serve on all but the group spot. If you want a spot for the weekend by the Deschutes during the summer you will want to get there Wednesday or Thursday.

Beautiful views and an overall great spot for camping. I just wish they would make the fish bite my hook more!
