It's a nice place but a bit on the old side. Shower has very low water pressure which I don't like. My room is nice and the bed is incredibly comfortable.

Don't stay here! Aside from the aloof, unfriendly front desk staff, this inn is inconvenient and uncomfortable. They have one restaurant for dinner, opening at 4pm. There aren't any other options for food for the travelers arriving after breakfast is over and before dinner is served. There are expensive bags of chips and sodas available in the rooms, where you are starving enough to indulge because nothing else is open. If you haven't rented a car, you can't even get up the street to the Stop and Shop, because, according to the unhelpful front desk staff, Uber doesn't come here, as they are 40 minutes away. Further, there was only one available hanger in the closet, the ice machine on our floor was broken, and the sheets had stains on them. Let's see, they had a complicated television, which required a special call to the front desk to operate, and the channels offered were minimal when we finally got it to work. Finally, the internet and cell phone service at this hotel were so sparse and sporadic that the entire weekend rendered us out of touch with our Baltimore family and business clients. No service at all at some points and only choppy service at others. This is a terrible inn, and they are unapologetically terrible. They look down their nose at their guests, feel put-upon when asked to service the rooms, and altogether don't need to be in the business of hospitality. The Litchfield Inn is the opposite of Hospitality.

My wife and I had our wedding here 28 years ago. We recently visited with one of our 4 children and his fiance who are searching for a venue. The transformation of the Inn was amazing. It was beautiful when we were married but the theme rooms and outside garden area are stunning. We stopped in without an appointment on a Sunday afternoon and the wedding planner was not there but the young lady at the front desk gave us a wonderful tour and the contact information of the wedding planner to get additional information from.

The hotel is quite old and in need of updating. It does have a nice restaurant/bar area but the hours seem to fluctuate a bit. The rooms are very overpriced for what you get, however it is one of the only hotels near Litchfield so visitors are a bit limited in selection.
