Lighthouse Park

Never again! Sure the lighthouse is neat and the view is spectacular, but we will never again stay here. We came up for Labor Day weekend. The seasonal campers were not only unfriendly but downright nasty. Very child unfriendly. The sites are tiny and you are packed together. The kids didn't have anywhere to spread out. They would throw a ball in the street and the seasonal campers would run out to guard their trucks and grumble about kids hitting their trucks, which never happened by the way. Just very disappointed to deal with such miserable people. We have never experienced this at any other campground.

Beautiful park for enjoying the scenery. We had a great time camping, taking photos, walking... Would not recommend for young children. Not really swimmer friendly. Friendly staff. Nice park.

I loved this cute little museum! I can't believe it's free to the public and maintained so well! Lots of really interesting lighthouse stuff and some really cool Michigan history.

Huron County Parks have unreasonable change and cancellation policies. I am okay with a fee for canx or changes but their policy is ridiculous. I will spend my money else where in the future. Many beautiful campgrounds in Michigan with better policies! Be sure to read fine print before you get burned.

Cool little piece of history here. Wouldn't recommend staying the night in the RV park though.
