Shelter Valley offers the ultimate experience in family camping. Nestled in the valley of the beautiful Maitland River, enjoy the bounty of nature in a picturesque 40-acre park.
The park has large playing fields, a baseball diamond, playground equipment, solar heated swimming pool, clean washrooms and hot showers, a sand volleyball court, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, laundry, a rec hall, table tennis, and wagon rides for the kids!
Planned activities and events are one of the most popular characteristics of the park—from fireworks, to ice cream socials and the Hawaiian Luau.
Facilities: Seasonal sites; overnight sites, including 7 pull-thru sites; and one rental cabin. All overnight sites are equipped with 30-amp hydro, water, fire pit, and a picnic table.
The close by town of Goderich features three sandy beaches, a historic downtown square, unique shopping, restaurants, museums, and farmers markets. The park is a short drive to several golf courses, the Clinton Race Track, OLG Slots, Clinton Equine Centre, local theatres, antique stores and specialty shops.
