Wife got confirmation of our booking then was told it was booked to someone else. Obviously they got a better deal. We didn't get as much as an apology.

Cottages were nothing fancy, standard cottage, were fairly clean. However we were surprised that we had to pay $7 a day for each of our two kids (3yr and 6yr).

Terrible example of Cape Breton hospitality. Received an email confirming dates were available and was instructed to phone to reserve... 5 days of calls trying to confirm reservation with no response. When I finally made contact with Rachael, I was told due to phone problems I couldn't get through and now there fully booked, "blame Aliant" I was told. If the phones were inoperable, how did it book up? Checked with Aliant and no issues were reported with the phone services, go figure. Perhaps if we were booking for a full week instead of a long weekend we would have been treated better.
