The restaurant is run by the owner / chef of the highly rated Governor's Restaurant. Similar menu items. Great food. Being located in a hotel means breakfasts are extremely. But lunch is quiet. A great spot for food and conversation!

Bad customer service. The man at the front desk kept checking me in to rooms under renovation, and he got upset with me after i had to come back 3 times to get a room that wasnt in shambles. It took 45 minutes to get breakfast in the morning and it was cold. The waitress didnt even apologize. I've been to all the hearthstones and I stay at them a lot for business and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel.

Went in for drinks and a bite with a friend. Service and food were both great. Definitely going back.

Very nice hotel - friendly staff, clean rooms, very comfortable beds and a free breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel if your travels bring you to Sydney Nova Scotia.
