Cambridge Suites Hotel Sydney

Booked this hotel because places with rooms that can accommodate families of 6 are hard to find, especially in busy season. I splurged and paid a little extra to get the executive floor harbour view room. This has nothing to do with the hotel but the harbour view didn't entertain my kid like I thought it would because there were no boats haha. The room itself was spacious, with a little counter/fridge area, living room seatinghide-a-bed and a table and chairs. Bedroom had two beds. Bathroom was roomy as well with a separate area for the counter/sink. Two issues with the room. There were 3 largish spots on the carpet in front of the couch...if they were old stains, whatever, I'm sure they could use a carpet cleaner to make them less noticeable. But these still had a kind of crunchy feel to them making me think they haven't taken a carpet cleaner to whatever it was? Shortly after arriving to our room a maintenance person arrived and said the a/c in the building was having issues but he was going to do something to the one in our room to try to fix it. We hadn't noticed, having just arrived, perhaps previous customers had mentioned it and because we checked in a bit early no one had gotten around to fixing it yet. Not sure. Anyways, the fix didn't work so my husband talked to the front desk and they moved us down a floor. Identical room, minus the carpet stains haha, however this room had no smoke detector. Anyways, other than those things...breakfast delivered to our room as part of our rate was nice. Parking is outdoors but close and had no issues. Located right on the harbourfront boardwalk which is nice.

First stayed June 22nd to 24th..excellent nice room, good view...nnReturn trip stayed on July 9 to 10...UNDERWELMINGnnPut in a basement room with an actual stand alone de-humidifer, what appeared to be mould in the shower, a spprinkler head without the rose to cover the hole..a shower door without a handle..just a small knob, and the door itself had to be dragged, rather than a finger push.nnthe view of the service parking lot and the pedestrians moving from the boardwealk to the street was exceptional...which means we had to keep the blinds closednnNot impressed, if this is the way they treat returning guests.nnThey went from my personal rating of great...to never again inn my life

In the heart of downtown, the waterfront location is picturesque and The hotels orientation permits most rooms to have a great view. Parking is $15 per night. Rooms are spacious, well appointed with 2 tvs, a mini fridge, and plenty of seating. Aesthetic is ‘Hôtel contemporary’ with design in mind but doesn’t reach a boutique or design forward level. Clean. Tech worked reasonably well but many hotels have better systems for streaming. In mentioning watching the tv, the living room settings sofa is barely a pass for comfort. The bed and’s linens are great and the suite offers full blackout blinds. Water pressure was excellent. We didn’t try the restaurant but from how busy it was, there’s likely a reason to try it out.

We were visiting from Ontario to the Canadian Coast Guard Academy 2026 graduation. Our flight from Air Canada was delayed 2 days and we were exhausted from traveling. When we checked in the staff were AMAZING! Very kind and made sure we were settled in with everything we needed. They kept in contact with us and ensured the room was neat, clean and available even with our flight delay. The maintenance staff were very good! Our rooms were clean and tidy. Our appreciation to all staff for a lovely stay. albeit shorter than planned!

We held a 90th birthday party here last week in their Celtic Room for 30 people. Some of the guests stayed in the hotel. In every respect this hotel and its staff made the experience exceptional. The event coordinator, Godwin, was pleasant, helpful and proactive. Troy and Michael managed the actual dinner and it, as well, was very well done. For those of us who stayed in the hotel, the rooms were great, everyone was very pleased and had a great time. From my perspective, this is a very well run property and it was the right choice. Thank you.
