Therapeutic Riding is an alternative form of therapy using horses to help people with various disabilities.
The Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association (LTRA) began in 1976 when a few volunteers offered instruction in riding and horse care to students with various disabilities. The program has since grown to include many volunteers aiding more than 350 disabled and able-bodied students each year.
