I recently bought a TV and a washing machine from there. The sales man I agreed on $1000 sony TV and he upgraded me to the $1200 TV without telling me . I only caught this when the TV was already in my trunk and I let him get away with it. Then the washing machine was delivered while I was at work and it was missing a simple tray. I went in to ask for a new tray and I never seen service that bad! I assumed when they set something up it should all be there and their problem to resolve. Instead they told me to call GE cause it's not their problem. I will not be shopping there again
I recently went to their Windsor location and saw the parking lot choked with weeds. It looked like an abandoned industrial property. I thought for a moment they'd gone out of business. The give-away was a few cars parked in the front. It makes me wonder if other people take one look at the place and keep on driving. There are plenty of other furniture stores in the area, all of which take pride in the appearance of their grounds - all except for Leon's.
Very happy with our purchase of the Collier chair. Ordering and delivery was fast and easy. The delivery service was quick, efficient and extremely polite. Very pleased overall!
I bought a sofa, loveseat, coffee table, end table, lamp, and rug for a room. Loveseat came with no legs. Coffee table and end table just delivered into the room in a box. They would not remove it from the packaging pictured below - end table on top and coffee table underneath; in filthy boxes left for me to deal with. Thanks Leon’s. I expected actual service and at least partial set up from a furniture store, which theoretically is what they do. I could have just ordered this stuff directly from wherever it is imported from and received it in the same boxes to assemble on my own. And, I wouldn’t pay a markup for services not performed by Leon’s. What a joke. What a joke! And, you know what happens when you try to call them…nobody answers and you get voice mail. I hope I made Leon’s happy by making the purchase, but I certainly am totally dissatisfied. You just made the case for online ordering and skipping the retailer. Just received a call from Leon’s. She apologized and explained they don’t actually even partially set up what they sell. As I already pointed out, this is the perfect case for online ordering and totally skipping the retailer Leon’s. The good news is the person who returned my call blamed the sales person for not telling me Leon’s adds no value. Then, she said I could call their “GM”. Sorry, I was a VP/GM at a much larger company than Leon’s and I wouldn’t just give the “company policy” scripted answer. Thanks for putting it right back on me! Buy from Wayfair, Amazon, or any other online retailer. You will have to put it together yourself similar to Leon’s but in my opinion you will receive better customer service and a better overall experience, and save the supposed physical full service retailer markup.
Have purchased a few items at this Leon's location in the past 3 years but have been long time Leon's customers North Bay. Generally no complaints, there was an issue about three years ago, cannot recall what it was but got store credit. Purchased a chair on sale in December 2021, colour choice was special order, website said 2-4 months fair enough. Called at 3 month mark, no update. Called at 4 month mark, was told that system said June 2022. Received an update call from employee at Leon's giving same information. No chair in June. Called back July, was told would be available end of July. Called back August, said likely end of August. No other information was provided other that they could only go off of what was in the system. No offer to have manager look into further or contact manufacturer directly. Called today, was told that there is no information in the system as to when the chair will be ready and they don't know who would have told us that it was to be ready end of August. Requested to speak to manager and was told they were busy with a customer and that they would call back. No call. Called 5 hours later. Was told the exact same thing. The item has been paid for but order says non refundable as it is a "custom order". Can understand some delays due to covid catch up etc, but having absolutely no updates or any effort to find a solution on the store's end is super frustrating. Early this year our Leon's card that we have used for many years was cancelled as Leon's no longer uses that provider. After this ordeal it is unlikely that we will sign up for the new card or shop Leon's again. Thankfully there are more furniture options in the area then there were when we lived up North.
Went to this location 2 weeks ago with my wife .Ended up spending just short of $10,000 only to wait over a week for delivery. Not to mention there are still 2 outstanding items that we have been told will eventually be delivered at some point early next year. To be clear the sales representative did say the items are not currently in stock and would eventually be delivered. To top it all off I still had to pay someone to help assemble practically all the furniture. Till date there’s been no follow up regarding expectations on a definitive date when the last 2 pieces will be delivered . I feel as soon as this company gets your funds the deals done and nothing else matters .Bottom line is I would definitely not recommend Leon’s to any friends of mine and I will not be going back there either. If it was possible to give 0 stars I would.
So my experience starts off good, had to order 2 separate couches with the understanding they would be custom made and approx 6 month wait. I was okay with that wait to get the “look” I wanted for my rooms. The one couch we got in recently after a 9 month wait was worth the wait, the other I was told would be a few more months. Needless to say, I started getting frustrated as I felt I had already been patient enough. However I went in to pick out something available now as I can’t wait any longer for the first one ordered. I am a realistic person, I know times have been tough with Covid, prices of things going up, materials harder to get. I was once a manager myself for years in retail, so honestly don’t look for anything for free because I get it, I understand that sometimes things aren’t within our control. Today I found a new couch that will work just as well, possibly better. My sales associate HIAM not only understood my frustration, but she was able to make it right for me in the best way she could. The manager was great as well. In todays world with everything going on, people getting mad over things that aren’t really that important when it truly comes down to it, I felt it was important to acknowledge them as appreciation is less spoken than criticism. Thank you Hiam and Leon’s for a great customer service experience today! I will be back:
Don't lose your money and time for a bad quality place. When I went to the branch, the CS are not willing to help just asking about the warranty. If more than a year no one will be helping you. Throw your furniture in the garabage. It's a piece of furniture not an electronic device. Furniture are made to be lasting long not to be damaged in a year time. And CS will make you feel like you worth nothing.
We went to Leon’s in Windsor to purchase a sectional and was helped by a young man named Roderick. He was very professional and knowledgeable, without being pushy. We told him we’d make a decision and come back at a later time. A month later we came back and purchased the sofa from Roderick because of the service he gave, even though we could have gotten the exact sofa somewhere else. I recommend Roderick 100%!
I picked up my box spring and it totally different both. I ask can you exchange me and deliver me. I am holding whole day to speak to manager. I bought all furniture from leons and they know how much I spent for all. However they not agree for delivery and at store they not allow for inspection so it causes more time and work to go and exchange again even it’s there fault that they gave wrong product. I am very disappointed. Believe me i will never buy anything again. They not treat customers nicely. They just treat nice when you go for shopping and gave money, after taking money they don’t care for customers.
