Reviews
Not sure why there are not an abundance of 5 star reviews for all the great work they do. Lisa and her team are absolutely awesome. Attentive, patient and accommodating. For several years my two sons have regularly attended CanSkate and Power Skating lessons and went from not being able to stand on skates to skating circles around me. When my eldest Son suffered a devastating knee injury last year outside of the rink, his power-skating coach Kristina took the time to work closely with him which ultimately gave him the confidence to strengthen his skating and return back to his fav sport Hockey. Highly recommend!!!
The group skating classes for little kids is so loud and chaotic with dozens and dozens of kids in different classes on the rink at the same time. My son was so overwhelmed. He would wander off from his group, and not only would his own teacher not notice but other teachers wouldn't help him and send him back to his group. He was often lying on the ice, unable to get up, for ages before someone helped him up. I timed him lying on the ice, helpless, for 1 minute and 20 seconds once. I have taken him out of the class. It's been several weeks now. No one has even bothered to contact me to find out why he's not attending anymore. Just like he felt in the class, no one seems to care. This was such a disappointing experience because he loved skating before going to this class. Now he doesn't want to skate anymore. The Club contacted me after seeing my review stating they wanted him to enjoy skating again, in the same awful class. And after hearing how traumatized my son was in this class, rather than doing the gracious thing and offering me a refund, they quoted Club policy as the reason they couldn't.
I HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR MY OWN MONEY BACK SINCE OCTOBER 2017. After sending more than 20 emails withing the past 5 months, I am still waiting for someone to get back to me. THIS IS RIDICULES!!! This is the worst experience I have had EVER. IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING BACK TO ME I WILL BE FILING A OFFICIAL COMPLAINT. I FEEL SO SOORY FOR A COMPANY THAT IS BEING RUN SO INEFFICIENT. I will make sure people know how you treated me.
Great experience so far. My daughters teacher is engaging and fun and she has learned so much already. She loves coming to lessons every week.
I am trying to get in touch with someone to register for classes with no luck. Now checked if any spots available, and all is gone. Very disappointed!
Thank you Leaside Skating Club for your assistance in answering all of my questions. It was very helpful and is much appreciated.
