Leading Edge Physiotherapy

Been going to physiotherapy for a variety of ailments off and on for my entire life. The Leading Edge group of clinics are, hands down, a clear-cut above the rest. They offer IMS among other things, as part of their overall treatment, not a separate offering requiring an entirely different visit. My entire family has visited the Glenora location at various times. I trust the team implicitly to provide care for my children which is a task to which i do not take lightly. I would recommend without hesitation.

Had chronic tendonitis in a few spots over the last couple years. Every session improved range of motion and flexibility. Once a week treatment reduced pain and tenderness and got me back to enjoying physical activity again. = Improved quality of life!

I came to Leading Edge to see Grant Fedoruk about chronic lower back pain. He assessed me, talked to me about what he thought the problem was, and set me on a course of treatment. I was to see him every week, where I would get set up on a bed with an electro-stimulation device on my back for about 30 minutes, and then wait around for Grant to come by and talk to me. He gave me an exercise to do where I would bend backwards to try and get everything re-aligned. I once had to wait around for an hour and a half to get his 5 minutes of time to tell me nothing new and not give me anything new to do. After about 5 weeks of this at $90/visit, with no progress on my back pain, and not really feeling like I was getting quality advice or service, I just stopped going. At the time, I didn't think too much of it other than "physio isn't going to work for my back problem". I was prompted to write this review because I have recently solved my chronic lower back pain problem, and I did it in under two weeks with just 3 quick and simple exercises that I do in 10 minutes every second day: The bird-dog, the curl-up, and the side-bridge. Google "Stuart McGill's Big 3 Back Exercises" for details. My complete recovery in such a short time has been so miraculous, that it got me thinking about what terrible advice and service I received at Leading Edge. Why didn't Grant suggest that I work on these core strengthening exercises? I am left wondering if it's because he'd rather keep me paying week after week, than offer a real solution to my problem.
