Le Uptown

Ordered two chicken burger combos, waited around for 35 minutes without an apology or anyone telling us why two burgers were taking so long. Expensive. TINY piece of undercooked chicken inside, fries not cooked and soggy, plantains undercooked and soggy. The only thing good was the sauce and peppers on the burger, which is why I strained to give this meal two stars. Will not be returning. Shame because it looks really cute inside, great decor. Save your money and go elsewhere.

To begin with, I'd like the mutton, but they didn't have for today. So I changed into 1/2 chicken. It's delicious and totally enough for a man. The grilled banana and fries are also very good

A great mix of spicy and savoury; charcoal grilled chicken smothered in loads of spice, delicious plantains and rice. Generous portions, reasonably priced, and really friendly, warm, helpful service!

I recently visited this Congolese restaurant and had a generally positive experience. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really added to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The music playing in the background was also really good - it really added to the ambiance of the place. One of the standout dishes for me was the juicy chicken - it was well cooked and had a great flavor. However, I did have one issue with the food - the beef was a bit dry and tough. Another minor issue I had was with the presentation of the food. The restaurant served some dishes on a cutting board, which took up quite a bit of space on the table. While this is a unique touch, it did make it a bit difficult to maneuver around the table. Overall, despite a couple of minor issues, I had a great time at this Congolese restaurant. The friendly staff and good music made for a really enjoyable experience, and the juicy chicken was definitely a highlight.

We were 4 people and ordered the Goma platter and an extra poutine. Everything was amazing and the woman at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. Will definitely be returning !

Nice and calm atmosphere. The meal was good. Apparently, they didn’t have the drinks on the menu the day I went.

I’m very impressed with the new updates done at LeUptown with the VIP Section for special event with a DJ. The food was amazing and on point: Samousa, Chicken Wrap, Plantains Etc

Placed order for a take out, service was a but slow before we get our food, but can't really complain. Food was good, dine in would be great, great vibe inside, nice deco. Overall had a good experience on my take out. Definitely recommend.Food: 4/5

Went there for first time a couple of weeks ago. They were covid clean and Cocktails was the best I ever had. Great service and great Cocktails. Great place to eat.Food: 5/5

They are doing renovations so unfortunately they was some noise. Other than that the food was delicious. I ordered the beef brochettes and they were tasty, nicely seasoned and well cooked. My companion had the chicken breast and it was also tasty. We also got free beignes due to the noise and because service being a bit slow. The beigne were actually delicious and a nice treat. Wanted to try their mocktail, but the machine needed to prepare them was out of order.
