Restaurant looks ghetto as heck. Does not look like the pictures on google anymore. Service could be improved. When asked if we wanted drinks or water, we chose water. The waitress brought us water bottles. Onky when did we ask if they were free that the waitress clarified that it was 2$ per bottle. That's when we had to ask for "free" water for them to go get us glasses of water with ice. The menu is mainly there to give us the dish names, because in the description, all it says is something vague like "nigerian spices, flavors will blow your mind away". However we weren't familiar with the spices so we had no idea what to expect. Fufu egusi: fufu is super nice, love the texture. The egusi is very fishy, has fish flakes in them, but other than that not particularly seasonned. I expected better since on the menu  it said it would "blow us away". A water bassin was given to us so that we could wash our hands anytime during our meals while eating the fufu. Jerk chicken: basic jerk chicken, but I've had better. The meat is juicy though. The ruce was very good, not too dry and has a good kick! The salad portion is small, tastes fine. The fried plaintains were good! Goat meat: chewy as heck, not much flavor. Service is not the most transparent, food was okay. There's a sign that says they won the 2021 Best Carribean food. I don't know if it's real. It was worth a try. Also the price on the website is not the same as on the menu pricier on the menu.
I wanted to try Fufu so bad after seeing so many food review videos and I always loved all types of African cuisine. It did not disappoint, we got the pumpkin seed stew with fufu, the grilled goat and the pepper soup. Everything was delicious and well seasoned but our favourite dish was the grilled goat and rice. The waitress was lovely and the service was fast
My friend and I were looking for something to eat tonight and found this place ! What a wonderful discovery! The place, the food, the music is sooooo goooood. I felt like I was in my native country I swear ! For people wanna discover or eat real EGUSI you need to go there !!!
My family visited this restaurant for their weekend buffet the first time. The food are great and we all loved it. My favourites include their jerk chicken and goat pepper soup!
Went with friends on referral for the first time. Was expecting great customer service than we received. The deduction of tips without consent was worrisome.
Omg such good food and Chichi the waitress so sweet and helpful with introducing me to new plates! Highly recommended
The service is a way too slow and unreliable, plus they seem to be lacking a lot of items from the menu at the moment. Waited over an hour and a half to even get my food it came out cold and we didn't even get water for 50 minutes. I would understand if the restaurant was super busy, but there was just one other table and they were about 5 people... the staff preferred to hang out and have a drink while making clients wait. I asked the waitress how long it would take she said five more minutes and ignored us for half an hour after that. Definitely not worth trying, the jerk chicken was dry and had barely any meat on the bones. The rice tasted like it was cooked over a week ago and left out. But it would be such a great place if they were able to offer better service to their clients.
The food was good but can be better. Not as expensive as some other African restaurant so you should be good to eat here. Good music and vibe. Good customer service.
Service is incredibly slow. Arrived at 9:35pm and my food wasn't ready even by 11pm... Never coming back here, so many other options in this city.
Lovely food and amazing waitress. The goat pepper soup was on point. The fried plantain was good try to reduce the salt next time the jollof rice was above average though I don't like basmatics jollof rice. Overall it a place to go. I will be back tomorrow to try the vegetable and ogbono soup.
