It was our second time at this hotel and since the second time is often the test, I am happy to write this positive review. The beds are quite nice but the pillows are really comfortable. The rooms are clean and modern and the shower is neat. I would have enjoyed that they prepare in advance the amount of towels as the number of guests in the room but I understand that they are also short of maintenance staff. Front desk employees are really helpful and polite. We will definitely return.
Top notch! Loved this hotel and all of the staff we encountered, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were super clean and tidy and the bed was so comfortable! The valet parking was great, the staff for the parking were wonderful. Quite often it's the little things that make a stay great, from free bottles of water after a day In the sun, to wishing us a good day/evening even remembering our preferred language and carrying our bags to the car. Would certainly recommend this hotel, just make sure you're up for some walking down into old Montreal or catch the Metro but then you miss all the sights!
Service was lovely. Everyone was helpful, kind, and had wonderful recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the city. Public transit was convenient and valet service meant we were able to park for the entirety of our stay and not worry. My only complaint was our room was very warm and even though it was 6°C outside, we had the AC on.
Stylish room, comfortable bed, excellent location, but what stood out most was the level of service from employees. I stayed here for three days and every single interaction with staff was 5-star-hotel caliber -- genuine, friendly, super helpful and professional. The hot water took a long time to arrive in the room but it didn't bother me. Really great hotel!
We spent four days in Montreal for vocation, leaving today. We chose Le Meridian because we always had good experiences with the brand. We had a truly wonderful time here. Everyone is so nice. The service is impeccable, and super impressive! Every one is so friendly and accommodating, just an incredible experience! Thank you for all the staff in the hotel who just made our vocation so worry free and smooth!!
I recently spent a weekend in the centrally located hotel in Montreal. The check in was pleasant and quick. The valet parking staff were prompt when I called for the car. I did however have to educate the drivers not to mess with the mirrors and seats as they had done. Especially the shorter of the drivers. The room was spacious, clean, well appointed and the bed was super comfortable. The bathrooms were large, well lighted, and with good water pressure. The coffee maker was well stocked. The closet however was very small for all I had to hang there. I did finds the hallway very hot and the time to get an elevator far too long. On the second night the air conditioned stopped working and the next day another room was provided with compensation. This is what you would expect at a hotel of this level. The hotel does have a bar and breakfast buffet but nothing in terms of a full out proper restaurant for dining. Being centrally located, you wont find it a problem finding dining at every level and budget within walking distant of the hotel. Shopping as well is within walking distance. The night manager was polite and did all she could to handle a bad situation. The General Manager, when he arrived on the Monday I checked out was apologetic and carried himself with professionalism and class. I would certainly stay at this hotel again.
This hotel is great and I especially want to appreciate the staff who go above and beyond to make their guest comfortable. Cynthia P and her front desk staff were incredible! It’s my first time at this hotel and I’m traveling from Ontario, I would definitely come here again! It’s clean and and perfect for business or or a fun weekend.
Stayed here recently with mom. It was her birthday as well and we were there with family for a gathering. Great people at this hotel. Helpful, kind, responsive. Restaurant was great which is attached to hotel. Area is very cute. I've been to Montréal many times and even worked there for years. Never been to this hotel until now. Will definitely be staying here again and would recommend to family, colleagues and friends. Beds were great. Coffee in room great. Very clean.
If you're going to stay somewhere for one night only, this is truly worth it highlighting the bed because I LOVE SLEEP! I made a less-than-a-day trip to Montreal - and this was the best place for a quick visit and a cozy spot for a rest in between : The service was wonderful, and the staff was quite friendly! I'll be back for a longer stay next time.
Terrible rooms and slow service. Expensive rate, expected better but was severely disappointed. The rooms look great on the photos but are of low quality in reality. The fixtures and fittings are dated and falling apart. Drawers did not close. The rooms are not clean. Aircon didn't work for us.
