Thursday’s was recommended to us as a great place to get classic French food. We were disappointed overall. Service was good but not great. Some of the menu items were excellent while others were average at best. Given the price point we really expected better. The escargot and tomato salad were both very good. The endive salad salad was a bit unbalanced on toward the vinegar side. The salmon tartare was excellent. Once our waiter brought out the main course he didn’t return to find out how the food was. Flank steak was ordered medium rare but was served rare. The Scallops Pernod Flambé has wonderful flavour but the mashed potatoes they were served on were luke warm. Not the best value for your dollar.
We were on the hunt for French cuisine and stumbled onto Thursdays. While the name gives nothing away the ambiance and the food did not disappoint. Once inside you forget about the busy outdoors and you definitely feel present with your dining experience. The escargot and the New York steak were just the remedy needed for a busy, cold day. Wonderful food and decent price point. Would recommend for sure
Bon appetit! This place is magnificent, the service was spectacular, the food was delicious, and we had a beautiful rooftop view. Sunday brunch was phenomenal, starting off with chocolate/mixed berry croissant bites and fresh fruit! The croque Monsieur was slightly greasier than I prefer, but what do you expect from butter and cheese? Smoked salmon and their mixed drinks and Mimosa were divine.
Great service, great food. I went for my mother's birthday and it was delightful. The manager made sure we had a perfect evening. We went for drinks at the bar downstairs and finished the evening at the club under the bar. Amazing night my mom will remember forever!
Three level, Bar, bistro and club. Food is ok if not a little over priced as is the beer. This is definitely tourist central work 100's of restaurants to choose from. Most have steps to go up or down to. Not at all wheelchair friendly
The tartare was horrible. Literally one of the worst I’ve eaten. It tasted like processed meat. They clearly grind the meat using a machine... it looked straight out of a can. The salad had more dressing than actual salad... really disappointing. Service was amazing though.
Balcony overlooking Crescent St. Indoor seating, tables or booths also available. Reasonable service. Not fast, not slow. Friendly staff. Half price happy hour drinks until 8pm. $5 daily special of Poutine with chili makes a fine dinner. Restaurant accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards. They do not take Discover cards.
They offer delicious french food in reasonable price. I love this place and the service was attentive and goood.
This is the famed Thursday's pick up joint of days gone by. The place has a run down feel to it filled with older hacks including myself. Was there on a Thursday historically the busiest night but only 1/3rd full, perhaps an off night mainly with guys. The disco downstairs is showing its age. They removed the rotating disco floor which was always a welcome attraction as you were able to always see everyone dancing while sitting/standing from afar. I was disappointed as it did not have the same feeling/vibe as previous years. You have to get quite drunk to forget all the memories in order to have a good time. The only redemption is that it caters to an older crowd.
Been going there with my parents since I was a kid. It did change a bit since it re-opened but I like what they did with the place. Always had good service and never had problems with the food.
