Nice spacious and clean space with lots of seating inside and outside. The staff were really nice and efficient. Ordered a turkey club that was very good! Loved the bread and the sweet mustard. You could tell it's all high quality ingredients. Enough of that though I know everyone comes for the cookies and maybe I'm just not a cookie person but honestly didn't think they were anything out of this world. They were too sweet for my liking but definitely nice texture with a crispy exterior and soft inside. I just wasn't able to eat half in one sitting so if you don't like super sweet things this may not be for you! Overall good experience, I would come back for the meals!
I've tried quite a few things, and nothing has disappointed! Obviously, the cookies here are amazing, you gotta try them. I'd give them a solid 8.5 or 9/10. I'd also recommend the chocolate bombs because the name don't lie! They are surprisingly good. The chocolate croissants are everything you need; buttery and flaky with gooey chocolate. By the way, I only tried all these items at room temperature. I can only imagine how they are when warmed up which they can do for you. Oh, and the coffee's decent as well.
Great brunch spot in the city that doesn't break your bank. They are one of the best cookie spots in Toronto, must try!! My favorite item from their menu is lemon ricotta pancake which is only available during weekend brunch. They are always extremely busy so the service isn't great, tough to keep up for them.
I was told to try this place for their good croissants and they have the best cookie in the city. I'll flip it around and say the best croissant I've ever tried in the city of Toronto and the cookie was pretty good. I was told everything's made fresh the espresso could use a little improvement. Nice setup good stuff. I ordered everything on ritual was there early to pick it up and I was served we'll definitely go back to try more of the croissants. Didn't take many pictures of the croissants because like I said I went there for the cookies
Beautiful Cafe. Pastries are all excellent from what I have tried all the croissants are great but the cookies are the star here and are spectacular. Super gooey and delicious. Pretty solid coffee too. Prices are about same as most coffee shops. Great atmosphere and descent spot for a sit down or take out.Food: 5/5
The best chocolate chip cookies you will find in the city! They’re big, soft, chewy and full of chocolate chips! The texture is firm but still managed to get that nice softness to each bite and break. They also have lots of other treats and cafe items like sandwiches and hot foods. The interior has a nice cozy feel to it and an almost rustic feel with all the wood furnishings. The lines can be crazy on the weekends, but they also have lots of people working. But don’t be afraid, they have lots of those chocolate chip cookies on hand! Service was great! Super busy but still had that quick friendly gestures and explanations of certain items! Definitely another great downtown Toronto spot to check out! Great job overall! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!
Lovely croissants that are very affordable yet delicious. But the best part about Le Gourmand are their cookies that might just be the best in the world. Incredibly chunky with various flavors, you have to save space in your tummy to try all the treats they have on offerFood: 4/5
I was so excited to try this spot, I ate the cookie and then remembered to take a picture so apologies for the half eaten cookie picture but it is just as good as the reviews say!!! Awesome chocolate chip cookie! Crunchy edges, chewy gooey middle, oozing great chocolate. I thoroughly enjoyed my $5 cookie! It’s a big cookie though, you can easily share with another person or don’t! Have a full amazing cookie!.
The best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had. So delicious. The oat and raisins and the peanut butter cookies were nice too. And so many amazing options in desserts and cookies. Would definitely want to come back for brunch!
Le Gourmand is an exceptional location to buy food/drink. I purchased a breakfast burrito for ~$10, and an iced coffee for ~$3, both of which were phenomenal. The burrito was absolutely loaded, and one of the best ones I've ever had. Furthermore, the iced coffee was very similar to McDonald's, but slightly higher quality. The only offsetting feature of this place is the dine-in. I went when there was no A/C on one of the hottest days, which sucked not sure if it was broken just that day or if they genuinely don't have A/C. Also, there are no outlets which makes it a pretty bad spot to do work at. Overall, nice little spot in downtown Toronto with great staff. I will definitely come back again for the drinks and the food especially those infamous cookies!.
