What great flavors and service by the amazing staff here. I regularly pay a visit here when I am in town and they always impress me with their chicken. I have tried several different items here but my favorite is the sandwich. This is perhaps one of the greatest choices for Montreal Chinatown . Convenient location and great friendly staff. One of their night staff with curly hair always provides the best service. Ace!
I’ve only been two times, but I’ll definitely be back for more. The first time I got their soft opening 2 pieces for $5, which included a chicken breast and drumstick, both were so good and juicy. Sometimes I find chicken breast pretty dry after a few bites, but this was not the case. I came back a second time and got a 3 piece combo this time and I was impressed by how juicy the chicken was again! Not a big fan of the fries though, I feel like they can improve on that aspect. Both times I had the regular chicken, but I do want to try the spicy one next time. Also, note that this is only a takeout place.
Korean fried Chiken is on point 2 for $5. You can have spicy or non spicy. Personally I went with spicy and it was good. Very hot and it’s crunchy! Be careful while eating as it comes straight out of the fryer! Not a sit down place. Take it on the go type of food. The spice is injected inside so it’s never dry. Highly recommended for quick snack near old port. High value for price point.
That was, without a doubt, the best fried chicken in all of Montreal. You can tell that the recipe has been perfected. The chicken is brined, so it's juicy when you bite into it! I pray that this place catches on so more like it will pop up around the city.
I have to say I came here because of their marketing. This was the first time and also would be last time visit. Very disappointed about the quality of the chicken. Overcooked, skin was too hard to eat. You couldn’t enjoy any pieces because what you could smell and taste were the oil overcooked smell and that’s it. Meat inside were tasteless. Don’t understand how people gave 5 star, maybe you haven’t had a chance to try either Popeyes or jollibee. Last but not least, this is a franchise and I didn’t see any boxes or bags come from their logos. Just looks very cheap for everything.
My new spot for the best fried chicken at MTL! Tip for Filipinos or anyone craving for Jollibee chickenjoy: This tastes almost similar
We visited for the first time this morning and found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. We ended up going with the sweet & spicy chicken burger w/fries and honey garlic & soy sauce chicken w/waffles. The quality of food, portion size and customer service was excellent ! Definitely worth the drive over to get my fried chicken fix.
Ehmmm... The chicken is tender but the coating is burned, tasted a little bitter. Out of many pieces in the tray the dude picked the darkest one and put in the bag... I wanted to ask if its burned but i didnt.. Oh well
The chicken is solid - much better if you get it spicy. The breading is good, but it ends up being too thick, so there's a layer of fat and soggy breading between the two that never quite cooks right and is left soggy and greasy
Okay. So their chicken and their popcorn chicken is amazing! Crispy on the outside and so tender from the inside. No joke. This fried chicken was one of the best fried chicken I have ever had in the city. They are very generous with their gravy sauce too! I have mad respect for this place particularly for their customer service. We had a bad experience with them once, where overcooked almost burnt chicken was given to us. It was horrible. I emailed them about it, and they were very prompt in getting back to me regarding this issue. Big thanks to Eva and to the team at the St Catherine location for accommodating us so well!
