Nice theater with great staff. I liked the seats better than Silver City's, though nothing can compare to recliners. One downside I noticed is the cupholders are on the seats in front of you, so you have to lean forward to grab your drink and it's difficult to see the holder in the dark when putting it back. It wasn't very busy when I went 6:15 showing so finding seats wasn't a problem at all. There were 17 minutes of ads/trailers, which I don't think is too bad, especially since very few weren't movie-related. It's also worth noting that they had compost bins, something I haven't seen in other theaters yet.
Generally a good place to watch a movie. Parking is easy and if its raining you can drive to the underground parking and avoid the rain altogether. Usually not that busy and staff seem friendly enough. My only complaint is that if you want to buy a ticket you have to stand in the concession line and wait while people order popcorn and other snacks. If you are in a hurry you can buy from the computer based ticket machine before you come downstairs. Or perhaps order online?
this is a smaller venue than the other theatres in town but you get more bang for your buck here. Popcorn is fresher but seats aren't as comfortable. They have great deals on admission cards which also give you money back on other items. Staff work hard as there is sometimes not enough of them but that's Victoria for you. Great little theatre which allows you to take the family
Small, older theater. Not as updated as some of the others, but comfortable enough, and it is never too crowded even on opening night. If you want to be able to get into and out of the theater without much fuss and just enjoy the movie, this is a great place. Good ticket prices, weekly deals, friendly staff, good popcorn, and lots of parking.
My favourite theatre by far in Victoria. Unless there is a kids' movie showing in which case it tends to get busy in the lobby this theatre is never too crowded. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. I take a senior lady with me and they are always accommodating to her. Enjoy yourself here as it is a real family type theatre.
If you are old enough to remeber the"home town"theatre, that's very similar to the feeling you get here. Good sound system with clean theaters and washrooms and the staff are very personable. It's a cozy feeling; kind of like reading a book under your covers at nightas a child of course.
It's part of the Landmark chain. More of a traditional movie-going experience than you'll find at most theatres these days. The theatre is pretty tired and needs cleaning and maintenance. Some of the seats don't retract and the leg room is tight. If you need a bathroom break and are seated in the middle you'll have to step over everyone's legs. The men's bathroom was small but clean. The snack counter was well run and well stocked.
I always enjoy visiting with theatre. The venue is nice, the staff is very friendly, and everything is quite clean. It also offers a wide variety feature films that the whole family can enjoy. I also really enjoy the start times here as nothing ever really starts too late. All in all, a great moviegoing experience.
The prices are better than all the other theaters that show big productions and it has a quaint little hole in the wall charm that is endearing BUT Those damn chairs. If you've experienced only those chairs in movie theaters then you have to be a masochist. If you've had the now industry standard cushy recliners then I wish your body good luck and god speed if you choose to see a movie here. Please. Replace those seats, Landmark. Your Tuesday evenings will explode if you do.
This hidden gem is rarely busy. Comfortable seating and it feels like you’ve stepped into a small city theatre. Anytime there is a big movie opening, you will find us here, instead of downtown.
