Worst camping experience ever. Should not be open to the public. Grounds and facilities were filthy and run down. No park rules enforced anywhere. Seasonal campers run the park. All day and night drinking, smoking and cursing everywhere. It was outrageous! Never stay there not even as a last resort!!
Best campground to go to if you have kids. There are kids all ages for everybody so your kids will find a friend easily! The playgrounds are also really fun too! There is a giant pool also so your kids will have so much fun swimming. There is a canteen with amazing food! Your children can have feasts, exercise, swimming, fun events and so much more! I recommend Lakeview Treasures Campground!
Unsanitary place to spend the night if you have to use restrooms. Showers were located in a shack, looked like the place was impossible to clean and was certainly unclean with cigarette butts lying about. Apparently the place caters to seasonal renters in large rigs who are independent of such needs. Friendly staff was certainly a plus.
We have travelled all across Canada. The worst campground we have ever stayed in. Dirty rundown. When we booked in we paid after we paid they told us washrooms were not available no showers available. Full of very ignorant locals party all night long adults kids and dogs walk through your camp all times of the night. Loud music. Do not stay here. If there are no campgrounds available locally drive to 30 minutes to Sydney and stay in the Walmart parking lot it’s better than here
I was there to visit my cousins. The campground checkin was welcoming and helpful. The amentities were perfect for their-my cousins, get together needs when the weather changed. We got to enjoy a feast as a large family in a rustic space. Will be visiting again.
It's little Mum and pop type of campground. we stayed on an unserviced lot for 25 dollars great price It has a swimming pool and all the normal services but is in need of some refreshing in the Bathrooms our plot was flat and had a bench table and a fire ring I now know it's limitations but for a secure overnight stop it works Note we were not given a site map on entry so had to hunt for the amenities offered that would be an easy thing to fix going forward
PRO: very close to Louisbourg Fort. Very friendly staff. CON: two way service expensive considering shower had no hot water at all, only one shower worked, only one stall locked for toilets and had no toilet paper, laundry is the most expensive I have seen in 3 months of traveling across Canada and had to pay everything cash. Was glad to only be there one night.
They do not enforce a reasonable quiet time. It's a party place. We fell asleep anyhow, only to be awoken by yelling about $2.50 hotdogs at midnight. Couldn't fall back asleep again after that. We were looking for a sleeping place, not a huge party. Toilets were way far away from our camper and not very nice. Very dusty. I guess the good reviews are from the party people. The owners seem nice but I guess they are more focused on keeping business from the partiers rather than keeping it family friendly.
Bathrooms need paint and are dirty. No soap or paper towels. Dishwashing station covered in paint. Outdoor furniture literally falling apart in some of the common areas. Unsafe features like rusty old metal sticking out of the wooden deck. Pool not maintained, looked green. We witnessed an unleashed dog attack and injure another. Two guys who apparently live at the campground got into a fight at the pool over $10. Hello! Drugs??. Unattended dogs left to bark for hours. Don't bring your kids here.
It's a fun campground, but if your looking for a very quiet place, maybe this isn't the place for you, but the people are fantastic that run it,and treat you good,I myself, love it
