Lakeview Library

This is a good library. It was newly redone, and is beautiful. The children's section is really cool, and there is a park near by as well. There computer catalog doesn't always work, and some of the staff could have been nicer. The computer are getting a bit old, but they have a great selection of books and is a great place to just bring your MacBook and study.

Wanted to donate books to the library most in pristine condition. My daughter went in to ask the women working there they said no problem. We lugged a big box in and they went thru the box say they cannot take any as they have to be "new" books? Um ever heard of a book store?? Many of their books are very outdated that they have AND sell. Terrible.

I like Lakeview except I wish they'd enforce noise regulations (or do libraries still have these?). Often people are in there loudly speaking on their smartphones. Every so often, there's people in there yapping at excessively noisey levels and if you've tried to relax or do any work here, you know its far too intimate a library for that.
