Strong school with good family environment and great coaching. This place is a real asset to community. I am in my mid forties and have never done a hard style martial art before, but have enjoyed training here and have found it very rewarding. It will definitely awaken functional muscle, stimulate the brain to grow, and challenge you greatly. For men make sure to wear a good pair of compression shorts and try to eat light ~5 hours before class, maybe just some fruits & vegetables & some coconut water, you don't want your body trying to digest a big meal during these classes. Try to have sensible lunch with a healthy carbohydrate like rice for energy on class days.

Lake County Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a great place. I am your typical desk worker that was looking for a gym, and found this gym based on the great reviews and being close to my house. I have been here two years, and can't say enough about how well Carlos and Patty help new members. If you are worried about getting in shape first or are hesitant about joining, I recommend reaching out and doing a trial class. You will find that no matter your age or experience, you have found a new place to get you in shape and make friends. Your regular gym membership can't promise you that.

Coach Patty was very welcoming! Coach Carlos is awesome at keeping my boys (6 and 8) attention in class. I even signed up for a couple of classes for myself! I never sweat so much in my life! It's been an awesome experience, looking forward to sticking around for more classes!

Needed to find something that would build my daughters confidence. She gets a little nervous when she starts class because she is new to this but the coaches comfort her really quick and she's there having fun. Very approachable and comfortable environment.

I have not a single bad word about this place. Coaches are super friendly, the overall atmosphere makes you want to come back for more and at the same time you learn good defense techniques. I find it difficult to express my enthusiasm and how happy I am that I came across this school
