People at the campsite were very nice and we enjoyed our stay, but I don't think we will return any time soon. Overall our experience was good, but the drawbacks were too many.

I'm spoiled by the Provincial and Federal parks in Canada. The Lahave River Campground really missed the mark on a couple of fronts. We were tenting and the ground was extremely hard. Gravel and rocks with some grass on top is not great ground for camping, even with good insulated mattresses. The portable potty directly across (12m) from our campsite was quite smelly, and there was garbage everywhere on our site. We filled up a complete grocery bag with what the previous tenants left behind. 

The price is OK, and there are things to do if you have a young family, but this campground is really geared towards the summer trailer set.
