Stayed here for a corporate event. While the room varied depending on each coworker, I was very pleased with my room. I believe I received one of their basic 2 queen bed suites, I really enjoyed my stay. The fact that you can see in the bathroom from the bedroom though a glass shower wall is very cool and I haven’t seen that before! Staff was lovely, I would stay again
From the moment we checked in, Melissa from reception was exceptionally welcoming and inviting! She was knowledgeable about the city, was enthusiastic when talking to us, and was enjoyable to chat with. The Hotel is indeed blue like the name, which makes for a calming aesthetic and chill vibe. The room was spacious and clean, service was good, and the Hotel's location is downtown/near many downtown areas. The hotel also offers free 4-hour bike rentals which saved a lot of hassle. The rooms came with your typical toiletries, bath robes, etc. but one thing we found thoughtful was the included umbrella which was one less thing to pack to deal with the Vancouver rain. The pool/hot tub were medium-sized and busy sometimes. Would recommend!
From the moment I got to the hotel me and my mom were greeted by a very nice gentleman From the moment I got to the hotel me and my mom were created by a very nice gentleman greeted who asked asked if he could take our luggage to the room which we found a beautiful birthday card for her and a bottle of wine for us to share so sweet.. the staff was so attentive which we’ve never had done before at any other hotel then the customer service the front desk was amazing. It was the best birthday weekend we’ve ever been on we felt like we were important 100% recommended and will be going back.
Came for a night stay back in October with my elderly parents. The location was great and the rooms were clean, but quite small. There was almost no room for a walker that my father needs to move around. There are almost no amenities on site but being downtown there are lots of things close by. Parking was a disaster, there seemed to be more cars than spots and at times the disabled parking spots were taken by cars without a permit. We were able to get them moved but the fact they were parked there to begin with shouldn't have happened. Staff was friendly, but not very accommodating. I forgot my mom's medication in the room and later called to see if they could send them to us in Victoria, but the front desk told us to fill out a FedEx form that wanted to charge us almost $50 to get them shipped to us. To me, that's not good customer service. They could easily have just put it in an envelope in their outgoing mail and used Canada Post. That experience made me realize there are probably better places to stay for the same price, if not a little cheaper. I would look elsewhere!
There is literally not a single thing I could fault this hotel for. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the front desk staff was super and efficient, the breakfast was delicious and fairly priced we went 3 times!. The absolute best touch was a text from the concierge on check in to make sure everything was ok and we knew where to find everything. It was a perfect stay. Location-wise, you're in the middle of everything and only a 2 minute walk away from a bus stop. We didn't feel like we needed a car at all while staying here. We cannot wait to return!
YVR canceled our flights alongside every other flight. During the airport madness & calling 30+ hotels - Melissa answered the phone, she had one room left. She was kind and understanding. She went above and beyond to ensure the transaction went smoothly. She personally text my phone with the hotel address to ensure there would be issues with the cab. Arrived at 3AM, was greeted with a warm smile and some much needed humour. Check in was less than 1 minute. She had extra blankets & towels placed in the room on account I noted the taxi line was roughly 2 hours long during our initial call. Melissa is an absolute gem, I will 100 percent stay here my next visit to Vancouver.
This hotel was everything I hoped for. When we checked in I mentioned that I was here in celebration of being cancer-free. We were upgraded to a suite and presented with a personal note congratulating me on beating cancer. It was incredible service which went above and beyond anything we expected. The hotel itself was clean and all the staff were super friendly. Martha checked us in and she saw us in the hallway the next day and greeted us by name and asked how we liked the room. We will stay here again! We were upgraded to one of the suites. It was massive. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. There were 2 televisions in the room with the largest one being in the bedroom. Rooms: Comfortable beds. Dyson hair drier in the washroom. Massive amount of space. Nearby activities: Delicious seafood restaurant right next door. Within walking distance of hundreds of stores and attractions in downtown Vancouver. Walkability: I have back problems and was able to walk to many Vancouver attractions like Science World and the Art Gallery
The staff were very friendly, and the hotel room was big, the bed was comfy, and full of modern technology. However, for being a 4-star/4-diamond hotel, I expected an actual restaurant or lounge inside the hotel not just a breakfast room. There is really nowhere inside the hotel to have a nightcap or wind down at the end of the day. Also, the swimming pool/facilities were a disappointment. Don't expect to go swimming there, and don't expect to relax by the pool. It's just a room with a few seats next to the small pool and hot tub. There is a sauna, but I didn't try it, and the changing room/bathrooms are small... no blow dryer in there either. Next time, I'll spend a bit more for a true 4 star+ hotel.
This may be the best hotel to visit, A. The loft is beautiful, its convenient around downtown and it's a great place to celebrate a special occasion. The staff are so kind and friendly and of all the times my partner and I have stayed at the loft it is consistently good. This may be the only hotel I love.Rooms: 5/5
The staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities. I especially loved the cosmetic products provided in the bathroom, which added an extra touch to my stay. The virtual assistant feature was also great, allowing me to easily access hotel services and local recommendations from the comfort of my room. Without unnessesary contacts with other people. The location of the hotel was also perfect for exploring downtown Vancouver and accessing nearby attractions.
