We booked a table in advance for a small group. The location is quite accessible by transit and a short walk. Staff were welcoming from the beginning and offered choices for where we wanted to sit for our meal. We opted for a table at the front by the windows. Seats were heavy and a little difficult to move, but comfortable. Menus were provided upon seating and is accurate to their online menu. As a group of four, we ordered two pastas and two appetizers, which was just enough food. The flavours of all the dishes are quite soft and savoury. The dipping sauce for the fries is especially rich and flavourful. The staff were polite and checked in enough to make sure the food was good and we had everything we needed. There was no rush from them to push us to leave. Our meal took approximately an hour and the restaurant still had quite a few tables available for other parties. Overall, Bellaggio Cafe is a lovely location for a nice meal with friends or a date.
Gorgeous cafe with really artistic/cozy vibe! Our server was extremely friendly and warm. The food was delicious and this place is well located/ right by the art gallery. We ate breakfast items but they also serve lunch and dinner. The yolks of the eggs were super rich- deep yellow! Food seemed to be of very good quality. Would definitely go again!
Just came for a quick snack. Got the lavender London fog, bread sharing dish and truffle fries. All were amazing. The restaurant is cozy and servers are nice.
Great breakfast and brunch place in downtown Vancouver. Must try if you are in the area ! We ordered the mocha pot, side of potatoes & waffle, and the Arancini Poached egg. All the food was sumptuous with the eggs poached perfectly. The arancini was perfectly crisped and yummy! The breakfast potatoes were well made and so was the waffle! Thoroughly enjoyed the food. As it was a busy morning, the service was a little bit slow, but the hostesses were very kind.
Just wanted to have a quick lunch, found this place by accident, looks very attractive from the outside. Checking it out, old and tasteless interior, lots of everything and nothing lol Smells good inside, very friendly service within a home-like vibe, chill Jazz music playing on the background, very nice to work indoors or have a meeting. The reason for two starts = food has no taste, unripe tomatoes with lots of end pieces on bruschetta and fake Parmesan cheese, whaaaat a waste of Lunch and my time.. Earl Grey was good, that's it..
Very cozy and nice Restaurant. Loved the calm atmosphere, the waiter was very nice and the food amazing. We went for breakfast and had the avocado toast, eggs benedict and the french toast must try! They do offer cappuccino with oatmilk and it's delicious.
We waited for more than 30 minutes to receive our food. I wish I were informed the kitchen were running behind before I ordered my breakfast. The food was ok. Nothing special.
HOT CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL 2023 Visited Bellaggio for the Hot Chocolate Festival. We tried the Smokey Butterfly and Like a Warm Hug which was alcoholic. The Smokey Butterfly didn’t come with any sides but Like a Warm Hug came with a cookie. Both were ok but I liked the Smokey Butterfly better. Both costed $9.5. The cafe itself was average in term of aesthetics and the washrooms weren’t clean specially the men’s washroom.
My friend and I came for the hot chocolate festival, and Ranszell's service was as phenomenal as the Like A Warm Hug hot chocolate. We had an absolutely delightful time with wonderful service and delicious food. I'll be going back for sure when I go into Vancouver.
My sister from out of town and I popped into this quaint relaxing restaurant on Saturday after 5 pm and ordered the beef and reef appy to share — house meatballs, garlic prawns, crispy calamari, house salad . This was a pricey item @ $32.45 and for the quantity of food plated it was rather skimpy to share between two people. However the appy was tasty and nicely executed. We ordered the seafood linguini with prawns, clams, mussels, scallops, tomato sauce - there was no scallops so extra prawns were given. It was tasty and tomato sauce was flavourful and subtle and pasta cooked el dente. The service was great and I enjoyed the ambiance. I would have given the restaurant a 5 star if the portion size was more substantial - given the price point of each dish. I will go back but will definitely try out the Happy Hour menu.
