If you are thinking about joining this CU, think again. I have had several problems with their Debit system. I switched out of my old CU because of their overage charges, but now am faced with the opposite problem. I have plenty of money in my checking, but am not allowed to touch it. I have bills to pay, groceries to purchase and gasoline to purchase for my car, however I cannot touch this because I tried to take out a money order for rent. I called and talked to someone who said it would be ready by today to use again, but here I am with my thumb up my ass getting screwed. Beside that, their debit limit is set by MasterCard, not by them, so even if you call LAFCU, there is nothing that can be done. I am absolutely IRATE that I chose LAFCU.

There is almost always a teller open when I need it and they are amazing at servicing customers quickly. Never had an issue.

My name is Kathleen Sears and my family owns College Bike Shop. We have been a local business in Lansing for 70 years and have been proud to work with LAFCU, financing motorcycles in a responsible way to help serve our customers and local community. This week we got a customer approved for a motorcycle through LAFCU, completed the required paperwork, and were denied by LAFCU for funding. They did not notice that this was a new 2012 when they approved the application. We already delivered this motorcycle to the customer based on their approval. We are not a corporate owned dealership that overcharges and takes advantage of customers. We can not afford to not be paid for a motorcycle we sold. In the relationship between dealership and lending institution, integrity is crucial. We trusted LAFCU to uphold their end of the arrangement and are being told that they won't. I am hoping that this is a misunderstanding as the deal we sent over is exactly the deal we applied for.

worst bank/credit union to deal with. So glad I never have to hear from them ever again.
