Great pool! The daily pass is $4 for registered campers - just tell them your name and site number. There’s also a toddler area with water guns, tiny fountains and flipping water buckets. Lots of fun!
This park is beautiful and spacious. Fishing is fun in the huge lake. We watched ospreys and immature Bald Eagles flying over head looking to do some fishing of their own. Nice place for the kids also. They have a playground and pavilions that overlook the lake. I found nothing but nice people and in a quiet setting. Must experience this Gem of a park.
Went there last time it was "open". Waited on line in heat for more than 30 mins with my family members and toddler grandson, paid for pool entrance tickets, got inside got my grandson prepared for the pool to be told everyone out of pool for a fecal contamination. After waiting 20 mins for it to be tested and reopened, we were all told that the pool was closing at that time. Asked for a refund, not given one. The place is a joke, a scam, and they renovated it to not have enough lifeguards??? I'm sorry I call b.s.
The staff does a great job and the pool has always been clean when I've gone. The sad part is many pools have been closing down or reducing their hours because they can't get enough lifeguards. This is the same problem for the Lackawanna pool. If you are physically able, consider a summer job as a lifeguard.
It's expensive!! 5$ per person, even if you do not go into the pool.
Very nice park. Our family had I nice reunion. The lake in the backdrop was really cool
Great pool and a great atmosphere! There is plenty of grassy area to set up your own chairs, towels and umbrellas. It's fairly crowded on the weekends, but not overly crowded! Great place to bring a family.
I absolutely LOVE it here! Staff friendly! Only $6 for adults to enter and my one year old son was free! If your camping that day/week you get a discount! My son really enjoyed the children’s area with all the sprinkler/water fall objects.. super neat! Heck! I enjoyed them too! Haha! ..we relaxed on a blanket in the grass which there was plenty of room! There were even some shady areas to hide from the hot sun which was nice! The food stand had many options which I really appreciated! The food/drinks were tasty and I can’t wait to try other things on their menu in the future! A lot of tables/sitting areas! The stand even had a few toy options for children! I bought my son a ball which he was excited about! The pool was large and had a unique ramp on both sides which you can walk into the water! Low water area so you can play safely with small children! Deep end was nice too! Life guards on watch and a building with first aid incase you get hurt. Outside the the pool area was a lovely playground which was well taken care of! And a camping/boating/kayak area!! Gorgeous scenery! I defiantly want to camp here in the future with my family! Busy place but not overwhelming at all. Def a 5/5! iv also hiked here quite a few times and really enjoyed it! Beautiful wooded areas to explore and cool bird houses build around the property! : worth the visit!
I give 1 star because the facility itself is nice. The 15 minute “safety” breaks are a joke. Every single hour is insane. The rules are ridiculous. Kids that are more than capable of swimming in the deep end can’t because of their height. 1st and last time coming here.
$6/person is too much in my opinion. They need to have children’s pricing. Also, it’s a cash only facility for entrance don’t know about concession stand. They need to get with the times and allow credit cards. Update: Had to drop a star after our last visit. When entering, they do inform you of no refunds if there is bad weather which is fine. However, the skies literally opened as soon as we had paid. My son never even made it in the water. They shuffled everyone into the bathroom. We waited for two hours for a chance to get in, but we never did. The radar had showed rain in the evening not afternoon. Maybe this policy should be changed if you never even get to use the facility.
