If you’re looking to try Mexican food, this is the right place to go! The place is so pretty, the environment there is so cool, the personnel is incredibly nice, and the food is simply amazing! The price is also good based on the portions that they serve! I’m from Mexico originally, and finding places like this, makes me so happy, and proud! Thanks, La Tóxica, for bringing a little bit of Mexico and it’s amazing food and culture to Montreal!
Found this place through a recommendation, happy we chose to go. Overall this place is great, the food is authentic and delicious and the service is great. Anticipate a wait time to get in near dinner time, we waited 45 minutes but it was well worth it. They have great menu options or you can also have unlimited tacos choice of 4 flavors for $20 per person. If you opt for the unlimited menu, you have a 1 hour time limit so place your order but keep in mind that any extras that are left over, have a surcharge so order wisely. We are definately going back. Parking: Street meter
The wait time for the" all you can eat"was 1 hour and they let 2 group pass before me. There was 1 group of 3 people and another of 4 people. The tacos are really good though anf they give a lot of meat. The restaurant is freezing which makes it uncomfortable Service is great and the waitress is nice. Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible.
Today I tried your birria burrito and your quesadilla with birria and consome, the food it's ok. By this I mean I didn't find anything memorable about it, your consome is a bit too salty, too many red chilly flakes, and I chew one bay leaf the second one I was able to find it within the meat, so it's overpriced and I feel is washed out, by this I mean if you're not Mexican and want to try Mexican food this place is a start, the service was pretty good, the ambience is regular, but the food it is definitely missing umami, plus as I said it's overpriced, so good luck you have a trendy place that jumped on the birria wagon and it's fair if it's your first time trying it.
The best Mexican food I have ever had the birria tacos are out of this world and the chicken bourritto was awesome. The service was incredible they are so nice and courteous. This is my new favourite place I recommend this place to everyone
i ordered the birria tacos and i only have one small, nitpicky complaint: the way the limes were cut was not very conducive to squeezing. loved the actual food tho, could have been a little spicier but i understand they have to sell this stuff to white people tooRecommended dishesBirria Tacos
I loved this place so much. I can’t wait to go back. They have all you can eat tacos on tuesdays. The cocktails were even better. I wish they had this in Ottawa. So far the best tacos I’ve ever had in Canada. The service was really good as well. Once I’m back in Mtl this is going to be my first stop
We took the all-you-can-eat-in-one-hour 4 types of tacos only option for 20$+tax. The tacos were apparentally a bit smaller than the ones à la carte. But we managed to eat around 50 tacos with 4 people. The price is very much worth it. The tacos were basic, but very good, all very well seasonned. All were eaten with extra hot sauce. Chorizo: best one, meat is not dry fatty, and has crunchy bits too, has a kick Pastor: Less fatty but not dry. Also mildy spicy Beef: dry, mildly tough meat Shredded beef: dry as well, softer than not shreddee Horchata: comes free with the AYCE option. Legitinate stuff Ambiance: As expected of a taco joint, crowded and on the noisier side, but conversations are still easy. Service: very friendly service, very slow though one of our orders got lost somehow and the waitress was not the most comfortable speaking in english or french. We had someone that spoke spanish, but if your group doesn't have one, it would have taken longer for the waitress to explain the AYCE promotion. But that's how you know the tacos are authentic ; This place totally satisfied my taco craving. I'm not blown away, but this is the basic taco I want. Would totally come back. The price is worth it for all you can eat.
Had Birria Tacos and was not deceived. It was killer delicious and very generous portions. Price and portion size was perfect and they didn’t cheap out on the meat and cheese. Damn that was good. Absolutely must try. Will be returning for sure.
I really liked this place. The tacos were really good. I got 4 tacos, the chicken Birria and the al pastor. Both of them were really good. I love it that the tacos come with the Birria sauce but also a red salsa and salsa Verde. Usually if you go to other place you have to ask for the extra sauces. The tacos were very filling which I loved, I only ate 2 and kept the rest for the next day and even the next day the tacos were so good. I definitely recommend to come here they have a pretty average seating area where you can eat there. The kitchen is open so you see them making your food which is nice They are known for there beef Birria so I think next time I will try that.
