I’ve been going to this store for over 50 years and for being open for almost 200, it’s quite a feat especially considering that they are THE last department store left in Quebec and maybe Canada. Still family run and they do it better than most. Excellent selection of merchandise from affordable to eye watering. Highly recommended. Now Ontario is able to have a taste of Quebec.
Simons in Montreal is an absolutely beautiful store and ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. I stopped by while on vacation and was so impressed by how big, bright, and welcoming it felt. Even though I did not end up buying anything this time, I really enjoyed walking through the different departments because the selection is so unique. They carry their own in-house brands like TWIK and Simons alongside well-known designer labels, which creates a mix that is both stylish and refreshing. There are so many funky, trendy, and cute pieces that stand out from what you usually see in other Canadian stores.nnThe layout of the store is spotless and thoughtfully designed. The women’s department is located on the lower level, the men’s department is upstairs, and there is also a dedicated suit shop. Each floor feels open, modern, and easy to navigate, and everything is displayed in a way that makes browsing enjoyable rather than overwhelming. It is the type of store where you could easily spend hours just exploring.nnBeing from Ontario, I have visited the Square One Simons and I am also happy to see the brand expanding in Toronto. The Yorkdale location has already opened and it is exciting that the Eaton Centre will soon have one as well. With Hudson’s Bay closing in certain malls, Simons feels like a much-needed addition to Canadian retail. Visiting the Montreal store reminded me why it has such a strong reputation, and I truly hope Simons continues to grow and thrive across the country.
I have enjoyed the clothes here for years and still enjoy them over 18 years later.nSome prices are a bit steep but so is everywhere else
When I was going to school downtown, to later working downtown for a bit and then 10 years later working once again downtown, it’s always been fun to walk around Simon’snThey have nice sales from time to time and their stuff is reasonably priced. I have a few Quicksilver jackets I got there a decade ago lol and they’re still going strong. Happy to see the brand is now in Ontario as well.
Lots of choices and good quality products, I really enjoy shopping there
