Unprofessional and dishonest. Even if all of their services were free it would still be a rip off. My wife had booked an appointment at this "establishment" for the morning before our WEDDING for eyelash extensions. I, my best man, my wife-to-be and her maid-of-honour all went to Cambridge together as we were going to drop off my wife and run errands that we needed to do before our wedding and were on a tight schedule. The shop was supposed to open at 9:00am. We arrived at 9:50am. The appointment was made months in advance for 10:00am, We left after 10:35am as the owner/employees had still not shown up for work. It is a small shop, the doors were locked, lights were off, we could see inside and no one was there. We tried to call the business' phone a few times, until we realized that it was about 5 feet on the other side of the window from where we were standing. So we left. Around 11:00am I tried to call and there was no answer, it wasn't until noon that I was finally able to get a hold of the owner. When I started to explain that we had shown up for an appointment and SHE wasn't there when we arrived she seemed confused and consulted her appointment book, for which she found the appointment. She assured us she was there for opening hours. I let her know that we had shown up early to our appointment, she then assured us that she was there just before 10:00am. I let her know that we had arrived before 10:00am and waited. She then changed her story again, this time she claimed to have shown up well before 10:30am, I then let her know that we had given up waiting on her just past 10:35. At this point she stopped making up excuses. She however did not apologize. She did not try to offer any words of explanation. More than anything she was obviously annoyed and offended for being caught in her lie. Her response was simple "Well what do you expect me to do?" I told her that I had called for an apology, as this was the day before our wedding, we were on a tight schedule and there was no possible way that my wife would be able to have this service for the wedding for which she had been greatly anticipating! She said that if my wife wanted to that they MIGHT be able to fit her in at some time later in the day as long as she didn't mind waiting at the salon until a spot opened between their scheduled appointments. I told her that we couldn't come back, it was a 30 minute commute, that she had already cost us more than 1.5 hours, [30 min there, 45 min wait, 30 min back] and that it was the day before our wedding and we were on a tight schedule. Her response was "Well I don't know what to tell you then, she can come here and wait." She obviously did not listen to what I was telling her so I simply got off the phone and my Fiancee (now wife) unfortunately was denied her trip to the Salon, to prepare for the wedding, that she had been so looking forward to having. So, learn from our mistake, avoid this unprofessional business if you value your time or have an actual need for service.
