La Clinica

When we were a struggling self employed family that had numerous medical situations, it is such a relief to know that there are places out there that serve the community without us having to go to debtor's prison. We used La Clinica for 6 years. During that time I had a child, had my diabetes maintained, other various ailments diagnosed, teeth taken care of, and my expensive medication given to me at a manageable cost. The staff of La Clinica is friendly, caring, compassionate and helpful. When I applied for medication help, Reyna was knowledgeable and would even order my medication a head of time so that I never ran out. In the instances when I was unable to pay for or order my medication, I was given what I needed. I had several doctors while I was there to treat different ailments, but my favorite was Dr. Acosta. He took over my care when I had a high risk pregnancy, delivered my daughter and continued to treat me in the remaining years until we moved away. The dental clinic as well had very caring, well trained staff. The cost to go was low enough I could afford to go in for routine cleanings, and have dental work done. Even though this is a clinic geared towards low income/no insurance people, the clinic itself did not feel like they were scraping by every last cent. The building was well maintained, the large waiting room had comfortable seats, tasteful artwork on the walls, and the walls were nicely painted. The grounds were landscaped, and parking was adequate. The only downside is there was a high turnover of dental professionals. And Dr. Acosta was a very popular doctor and appointments were scheduled far in the future.
