La Carnita

An average spot for Mexican tacos. The chorizo was cold and the chicken was quite bland. We needed the hot sauce on the side to add flavour. What brings my rating low is the lack of quality service. Firstly, the receptionist tried to seat us by the door while the restaurant was half empty. I requested her if we can sit by the windows and she was not that interested to move us. Secondly, our server was extremely slow. It took him the longest time to come to us to give us the menus and bring us some water. It took the longest time to find him to ask for the bill. When I asked another server to send our server twice, he shared that he does not know where he is. The food was fast but service was terrible. Management - please look into the servers or the server allocation by table as this needs significant improvement.

Great portions and spice! We loved the tortilla chips and dip. Ambience and service was great. The filling for each of the tacos were amazing and filled to the brim, so many different flavours to choose from. I would've liked the tortilla to be warmed up.

Cute spot for some tacos. The tacos were decent in all honesty. The tortillas flavour out do the flavour of the shrimp, the potato, the beef and the fish didn’t try the chicken one-can’t say for the chicken. But it still tasted nice. Service was really fast, on the go and non stop. Which was unique, but I was not a fan of, certain tacos came right when we ordered, and the some came 15 min later which made it hard for all of us to eat together. For the price, portion and service you’re getting, it’s alright. Overall 6.8/10

We went there with a large party on a Friday night, so wait was expected, but staff was courteous and updated us as much as they could. Once we got the table, service was great and the server very knowledgeable. We were told that they are known for their tacos, but I found them sub par. Pork belly had a thin slice of pork and was topped with a lot of lettuce as a filler. Shrimp appetizer was recommended as best reviewed, when it arrived, the shrimp was over cooked and black/burnt in parts. Nachos were excellent!!!! Overall a great experience at a chain Mexican restaurant.

This was a fantastic Mexican restaurant located in the basement of Square one. The service right as you get in is incredible and all the staff are quick and efficient helping people. The tostadas were out of this world! The corn tortillas tasted so fresh and so real and all the meats and vegetables and fish used to make them were delicious. The atmosphere is dimly lit with lofi and hip hop music playing mostly, but it is very relaxing. If you're looking for some authentic Mexican cuisine you have to try here!

Went for a lunch friend date to LA Carnita, Square One location. This location has a great vibe with good music that just takes you back to memorable years. Our server Matthew was the best! He gave us great recommendations on the food and drinks. Matthew was very personable and checked up on us throughout the dining experience. The food was amazing and flavourful. We left stuffed and pleased to the max! Highly recommended!!!

This restaurant is located in square one. I loved thr Mexican menu lots of good choice. They serve #HALAL chicken and meat. None of the items have any alcohol except one of the salads and a fish. Always ask first regarding your food preferences don’t shy away from it. We asked and were gladly answered. Service was really good. They have a 90min time period allowed to all dine in customer. They have some good virgin drinks. VEGAN available. However i think price is more than the food quantity.

The service was top-notch. Our server was very very nice. The food was served fast hot and was delicious. Every time I am near one of their locations I always stop for tacos.

Went here for a girl’s night. We shared nachos and ordered assorted tacos. The nachos were a good size and was packed. I got the vegetarian “chorizo” taco. It’s on the spicy side and it tastes good! It’s a bit on the pricey side at $7 for a small soft taco.

Never been a big fan of Mexican food, but this one made me in love! Tacos and Nacho are delicious! Even though they are full seated , the food came fast! Definitely come back.
