Good place for hangout with friends and family or mini gathering. They have nice patio with garden for about 50 peoples. Cafe parlorunder roof, also nice and attractive. Food test good but price is little above average, but worth to try. They do have monthly and daily specials. Its self served cafe so make sure you put your empty plates at appropriate area.
La Bosco was a decent spot! The service was and great and the aesthetic was a vibe! However, I think the food itself was just okay. The desserts and sandwiches were decent but not necessarily anything to write home about. But I’d definitely come back again, its environment was lovely and welcoming
La Bosco is a pretty cool space with all of its plants and amble seating. It is worth a visit for the plants! I’m sure it’s more inviting during the summer. Unfortunately, the seating is not comfortable as a large majority of the spots are concrete. The staff were super friendly. However, the hot chocolate and cookies and cream cake were just okay. The hot chocolate had a weird sour whipped cream on top and the cake was a bit soggy.
Adorable place to sit and enjoy a treat and drink. It's very popular, and pastries sell out quick. I tried the strawberry danish, and liked it very much. The strawberries were fresh and the custard underneath was perfectly sweet. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the regular brew coffee I had was not hot, and the flavor was more acidic/sour and I don't enjoy those kinds of coffees. But if you like your coffee that way, maybe you should try. Overall great cafe, I'll be coming back for sure to try more things on the menu.
Finally stopped in here today with a friend to try it out. In the summer, I can only imagine how nice the outdoor space would be. Font on the board with prices and options is a little hard to read as it's up high and a little far away when standing in line. But once you get up closer, it's easier to see, but then you're distracted by all the beautiful desserts in the display! Soo many options to choose from, the sizes of the pieces are decent and the prices are pretty reasonable as well. I got their medium roast drip coffee and just black it's a nice cup. Not bitter or sour. We then shared their Danish Pizza, Sour Cheery Danish and Chocolate Chiffron Cake. The plates are nice along with their monogrammed napkins. They heated up my pizza and I liked the sun dried tomatoes. The Cherry Danish was cherry loaded and my cake was sooo good. The fresh whipping cream was just right and the cake was soft and not too chocolate heavy. I'll be back in the summer to experience their patio. Also, this is a great place to meet for a first date!! It's unique, cute, great options and lots of seating spaces for a quaint date.
We were too full to have anything heavy but wanted to get something to eat before driving back to Calgary. We were around the restaurant district close to U of A and we did not know where to eat. Long story short, we drove around and stumble upon this little bakery. It was about 7:30 or 8:00pm and we thought it was closing. We sat down and ordered some tea, cakes and sandwiches. We ended up ordering more because of the food we tasted :- The food was heavily Korean inspired if this mattered. As such, the place was very similar to some K-drama cafes we watched on TV. The place drew us in because of the decoration, the reason we would be returning was the dessert, the tea and the food. We saw lots of students 'studying' there while we stayed. Nice little café in Edmonton and we would definitely be returning for the atmosphere and the food. I wish Calgary has a place like this.
Beautiful and fashion decoration inside. Food and cakes were just okay, good looking but not tasting good. Drinks were average too. This is definitely a good place for photos only.
This place is HUGE! A few blocks off Whyte Ave if your looking for a coffee shop/work spot with ample seating. Lots of plug ins. Space in between tables. Reserved work space seating if there’s 4+ people. Loved the plants and decor, making it really inviting and fresh feel. Vietnamese coffee was a nice change. Can’t speak on the food because I didn’t eat but the soup with the pastry top looked really good! All staff were wearing masks and practicing health and safety codes by sanitizing tables and checking vax passports. I stayed a few hours to work on my laptop. Only thing I didn’t enjoy was lack of parking. Lots of businesses in the area therefore parking lot was full and lucked out finding street parking. But there’s minor in the big scheme of things. Local business with a very inviting unique space that I truly enjoyed. I’d say even good for Instagram photos!
No vegan pastries, but non-dairy milks available for drinks. Cute atmosphere and nice patio with a lawn area, would be so cute for a little picnic! Got the watermelon lemonade and it was really good!
How do I start… I am kind of torn on this review but I got to keep it 100. This place is advertised to be serving French and Japanese bakery and pastries. But most of what I tasted was more of a Korean and Asian bakery flavours to be honest. If you had French pastries you know what I am talking about. Pastry looks amazing, but in my opinion is over priced and doesn’t taste accordingly to what you pay. The place is big and looks amazing to be honest, lots of seating and great for pictures. However, seating is uncomfortable and I found the service ok. There are a couple of flies that like to hang around the food areas, servers were more concerned about getting you off the line versus giving you good service. My attendant was a little rude as I was asking questions about what I wanted, didn’t go well with their service timeline I guess. I ordered some mixed of pastries but the one that really disappointed mi was the Tiramisu. Very disappointing! At almost $8.00 a square. I think everyone needs to try the places and experience for themselves. This is my opinion but I will not be coming back. I do respect them for not killing flies to a point. If you are going to eat at this price point, I feel there are better options in Edmonton. I hope this is a great constructive criticism for the bakery and it helps them improve and more successful. #chicosreviews
