Reviews
This isn’t a really recent review, but found the pictures and wanted to write one because the staff here when we stopped by were really nice. They were all so chill, even if it was a busy evening and we haven’t reserved before arriving. We just came in for small dishes, and I believe that this place is really good at tapas. We will stop by soon to try it out again!
The food is excellent! Although we ordered classic dishes cauliflower, lamb dumplings, beef tartare and the octopus, everything had a little something that made it different and better than in most restaurants. The wine list is pretty conservative no private imports, and so is the cocktail menu. The service was good but not great. The weakest point is the acoustic. The floor and walls are made of brick and ceramic. This makes the overall ambience loud and clattery.
Great customer service- the waiters and waitresses were very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of We started with a spitfire and a pint of Stella. The spitfire was sweet and strong. The Stella was a bit flat, lack of the usual beer bubbles. Not sure if that’s how Stella is made. We ordered a dozen of oysters, salmon tartare, lamb dumplings and general Tao poutine. The oysters were fresh as hell and BIG. The salmon tartare was amazing! Lamb dumplings were well seasoned, and the general Tao poutine was fantastic. It is not your usual poutine. The sauce was special. Overall, amazing experience
Great place to go eat and drink! The asian fusion food is excellent. I was surprised that the poutine bibimbap tasted that good. The flavours blended well. The tuna tataki was amazing and calamari was good. The service is great as well but my only thing that I would neatpick would be the decor that needs a bit more love but besides that, very good place to come and eat with some friends!
I would try this place again. I've only tried this location, so I will comment this location alone. They have 2 other locations. Very nice staff. The drinks were good. They have a big selection of wines and a pretty big menu for cocktails aswell This is a tapas restaurant so for those that like sharing it's perfect because the portions are not huge. It's perfect to get a few different things and share in between. We got the oysters, the tuna tataki, the crab bites and also the salmon tartare. All of those were good. The only disappointment that I had was more of the tartare, I feel like the amount of salmon in the tartare was not enough and there were more of the other ingredients then the salmon in the tartare.like tomato that looks like tartare but it's actually tomato. Prices are not that expensive compared to other tapas restaurant in MTL I definitely recommend this place, it's nice for a date night or to catch up with a friend. This location wasn't big.
$1 oysters!!!! What more can you ask for! They were super fresh and sizable!!! Very very satisfying and those crab cakes are to die for! Very nice service and wonderful terrace. Great place to take a date or just spend time with loved ones.
A fun restaurant offering French/East Asian fusion dishes. A great spot for drinks on the patio. I enjoyed the Kimchi poutine and beef tartar
I went to see a friend and he recomended we go to La Betise. The place is very Cozy and small in around St hubert plaza. The staff is super friendly and very nice. We tried the tartare and fried calamari as starters. The calamari was ok But the tartare is beyond amazing. The sauce and the avocados and the mix of all that gives the tartare a very special taste. I had the truffle risotto as a main, and if you like truffles, this is the dish to go for. Good portion and the taste..... sooooo good i can't even begin to describe it you have to try it.
Came here for the 1$ oyster and it was worth it! The oysters were big, fresh and didn't taste fishy. I recommend to come here for oyster season. Definitely will come back to try other food :
