L'Eggspress

Ordered takeout. Got the BSC crepe, side of potatoes, side of French cream, and fresh apple juice. Here’s my thoughts and my comparison to what you can get just down the street at Eggsquis Pros: -The crepe is very large, filled with fruits -the apple juice is a very good price 2.50 and you can tell it’s fresh -not a lot of garnishing with other fruits look below for comparison -fruit was not spectacularly fresh, but weren’t old either Cons: -Crepe was more like a pancake than a thin crepe. -potato’s were bland and not crispy enough for my preference of home fries and the homemade ketchup didn’t help much with flavour -found the price for quantity and quality a bit lacking Comparison between here and eggsquis eggsquis: -better pricing for portions, usually same crepe there already includes French cream also has better cream I find -crepe is more crepe like and extremely thin while still being air and fluffy -same size portions and fruits, however always garnishes with 3-4 fresh melons that are usually more unique melons, also fruit is spectacularly fresh every time I’ve gone 6+ times -more expensive juice but taste is comparable -potato’s are not even comparable, these one are seasoned, crispy and soft at the same time. Truly perfect in my opinion and the same price Honestly if I’m in the area and looking for a crepe this place isn’t bad by any means but I would still only go here if eggsquis is extremely busy I mean busy cause I’ve even waited in line there before because it’s worth it Just my thoughts, I still think this place is good though if your not a huge fan of eggsquis

Friendly staff. Kelly was really great! Serving portion is great and wait time is reasonable. My daughter and I went here for lunch for the first time. We only waited not more than 15 minutes. I ordered 2 eggs with sausages amd bacon. I got not 2...not 3 but FOUR pieces of bacon my eggs were cooked great however the potatoes tasted like warmed up potatoes. But i might come back again and try other food!

The hostess who greeted us was extremely rude. We were having a business breakfast so we asked, if possible, to be seated in a more private booth. She agreed, but was quite annoyed with us. The food was reasonable, not bad, fast service. Too bad about the front of house issues!

Very disappointing, would not come back. Portions were large but food and menu were nothing special. The potatoes tasted like they’d been sitting out for a while and gotten soggy. We felt $3 for a brewed coffee was a bit overpriced, so we opted to each get a latte instead. They tasted horrible, could barely get past a few sips. They were watery and tasted like it had been brewed by an automated machine using old coffee grinds. We also ordered water which never arrived, otherwise service was friendly and relatively quick. There are much better breakfast places in Kingston, don’t bother with this one.

Great breakfast place good food and value for the price. Large portions at a standard price for a restaurant of this type.

Very good food and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place, I ordered the works everything was way better then expected especially the breakfast sausage. Very relaxing atmosphere and not over crowded at all.

Eggspress is a Quebec chain of restaurants who are expanding into Ontario. The menu has good variety and the dishes have great presentation. The prices and portion size are a bit large and I would eat there more often if they reduced both correspondingly.

Ordered the Half-Moon which comes with eggs, potatoes & dessert. Loved it! Very filling and reasonably priced. It's perfect for someone that likes an equal combo of sweet and savory.

Great breakfast spot. Big menu with a huge variety. A go to spot for Sunday Brunch

We went to this restaurant on a weekday around 10am for breakfast takeout. It was our first time at this restaurant. The interior of the restaurant was very clean. The staff was very pleasant. We ordered the bacon and egg special and pancakes. The food came quickly, was fresh, hot, and nicely presented. Felt the value was good. Would recommend and would go back.
