So delighted to give a review to this beautiful cozy restaurant after a delicious breakfast. Enjoyed some traditional dishes topped with Turkish coffee and Turkish delights. Could not help but buy some delights to go to share with family. A great place for small groups and families. Thank you for your hospitality and delicious meal!Food: 5/5
Truly a cultural experience. Fresh made food & pastry. I stopped in for a quick espresso and a sweet treat. Very excited to see this business. See you there.
Beautiful coffee shop owned by a Turkish woman. The owner brings the wonderful flavours of her culture for a unique and delicious coffee stop. The Turkish delight is magnificent, I too would betray my family for some Lion witch and the wardrobe reference. Everything there is made and served to you by the owner and her daughter is sweet and proud to be at her mom’s business. Everything here is top tier quality. It is not cheap but, definitely worth the money. Great coffee great deserts.
My husband and I wanted to sit down and have a breakfast. Joystar was the perfect choice. They have a very pleasant environment. Everywhere is immaculate. Relaxing Turkish music plays in the background. Most importantly, the burger baklava was very, very tasty. The ice cream in between was perfect. Latte was pretty good too. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to come.
I thoroughly enjoyed the warm and inviting atmosphere of this place. The quality of the food truly impressed me, as every ingredient used was of the highest standard. Considering the remarkable quality of the dishes, the pricing was quite reasonable. Overall, a delightful dining experience.Food: 5/5
Had the borek & the pogca for lunch, with Turkish tea & some special chilled chocolate & pistachio baklava for dessert. The owners were also kind enough to give us samples of the cheesecake, chocolate & orange cake and the "Turkish delight". All the food was very fresh & tasty. The savoury borek and the pogca were great! Apparently they will be introducing more lunch items soon.
First of all, everything was very nice and delicious. I definitely recommend you to go for desserts. When I first saw it on the menu, I immediately tried manti. Turkish Manti was really great. Nese is an excellent chef. Then I ordered a perfect americano and prefiterol on the side and it was fresh. Joystar Cafe there is Definitely a cafe you will want to go to every day.
It was a delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I ordered breakfast plate and baklava and it was delicious. Baklava is the best you can eat in Canada. I’ll definitely be back!
This is an awesome new spot for desserts and coffee. They bring their baklava directly from Karaköy Güllüoğlu, which is probably the most famous baklava maker in Istanbul. I have bought baklava from there in my travels to Turkey from my turkish friends' recommendations. Now I get to enjoy their fresh baklava without even having to leave Toronto! Chef Joy Star bakes other items like profiterole and eclair herself, which look just as delicious. The service is very friendly, and you can really tell it brings her joy to share her baked goodies with the world. If you are feeling hungry, her manti is highly recommended. After sharing manti with my wife, I had to try the baklava burger while she got profiterole. The baklava burger was a huge piece of baklava with a slab of ice cream in the middle. I loved it, as well as the latte I got alongside. There were other things that I wanted to try, but I was so full after the manti and baklava. So we got almond cookies to go. About those almond cookies...I have to give a warning: They are highly addictive, and once you try, you may keep going back for more.
Came to this brunch place with my friend after seeing Google reviews, and was so glad we checked it out. Nese, the owner, is so welcoming and took her time to explain all the different foods/drinks on the menu. We got the Turkish brunch place + many different desserts, and tried Turkish coffee for the first time. If you have never tried Turkish food/brunch, I highly recommend this place to you :
