Koryo Korean BBQ

This place used to be so good... But has gone very down hill in quality. I won't be going here anymore. Shame we lost one of the great fast foods :(

I've been a fan of Koryo since I first had their beef BBQ Flamer at North Hill mall. It was fantastic! I've been to this Cross Iron Mills location a few times, and sadly it's pretty hit or miss. A few years ago I had a beef BBQ Flamer and it had a lot of chewy fat in it, which was awful. I tried it again tonight and the beef BBQ Flamer was superb! 😃 The meat was great. So great in fact that I ordered a second one (we no longer live in Calgary, so this was a treat). I shouldn't have pushed my luck. 😒 The second one had a big hunk of chewy fat in it, and it didn't seem like it was cooled enough. The beef had a soft, mushy consistency, very different from the first one. So my takeaway here is that the Cross Iron Mills location has both a beef quality problem and a cooking problem. Guess I need to go back to North Hill mall again!

I hate to write this review, but this Koryo is terrible. The Kimchi was sour and the chicken that was served to me was not even put on the grill. The service was slow and the food attendants seemed lost. I feel bad for the family running it, but it really was a horrible representation of the franchise... If you're reading this, you're probably here to write a bad review and agree with me.

Unkind. Cross iron mills Koryo is Worst place in Canada!! Old casher Asian lady was very rude. Do not waste your money from here.
