Service is okay and the food is okay as well. Staff were really nice but it took them a long time to take our order and took me forever to find someone to ask for our bill. Food is okay. No wow factor to the taste but it did look pretty. It wasn't bad but I guess I was expecting a lot since I saw a lot of good reviews about this place. Might try again to give it another shot!
Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba offers such a unique dining experience that everyone needs to try at least once. Their menu is extensive and features a wide array of choices. My personal favorite is the Chicken Karrage. The service is great, and if you're a first timer the service people are exceptionally friendly and just want to help. Their is a bathroom if needed. Menu pricing is great too. I would only suggest you transit here if you're coming, take the skytrain to Granville station. Parking I didn't trust. I do highly recommend this place for a quick bit for a night out!
Came across this restaurant while walking downtown and feeling hungry, so decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, it’s pretty good. Food is decent, portion is big, service is friendly, interior is nice and clean price in the current high inflation era is quite reasonable. I would say it’s one of the best ramen places in downtown area in my opinion.
Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba was truly a unique experience, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming once entering. The food itself is unique and something you wouldn't find everywhere. Everything is prepared fresh and is SO TASTY! Would definitely recommend get the Mazesoba bowl here as it's in the restaurant name haha! Highly recommend if visiting Vancouver! 5/5
First time trying broth-less ramen. It was a delicious surprise! Once you mix it with the egg the flavours just blend well- a little vinegar and spice works for me. You get free small portion rice to eat with remaining sauce and wow a good end to the meal! Have the Orion Draft beer it goes well with it!
such a delicious and reasonably priced place! you won't be blown away by their soju, but you will be by their mazesoba aka dry ramen dishes! everything is absolutely delicious, rich, filling and at such a good price. it's a casual sit down restaurant that serves their food fast - just like in Japan! The noods come warm with tons of topping, and you get the satisfaction of mixing all the gooeyness together and putting toppings like vinegar and the japanese spice mix. Definitely get the free rice to soak up all the saucey goodness at the end. There's so many varieties, you really can't go wrong. To finish, would also recommend the ice cream that is absolutely delicious! Definitely check this place out for a casual & quick lunch/dinner.
After a long cold day in Grouse Mountain we were craving noodles and randomly found this restaurant on Google Maps since it is close to Canada Place where the shuttles drop you off. Service was fantastic! The Ninja Dumplings were crunchy and a little spicy for me, but good. The Kokoro Tonkotsu ramen was on par to ones we’ve eaten on Oahu, except for the chashu, which was thin and a little chewier rather than fatty and soft what we’re used to. It was our first time eating mazesoba and we were delightfully surprised. The flavors were good, but it was light. You could taste the freshness and you could tell it was healthy probably no MSG. The Fuji Cheese Cup with an Oreo-like crust on the bottom was very light, airy, and not sweet at all. The best part of the meal was the Hokkaido Creme Cone. It tasted like a McDonald’s Vanilla Soft Serve, but 10x better! The cone tasted like a Yokumoku Cigare Cookie and it was amazing!! We also ordered a Chashu Bowl and Minced Pork Bowl not pictured to go. They were both yummy and tasted great for breakfast the next day. We were missing Japan and this was a great spot to fill that little void.
i really enjoy the tomato tonkotsu broth— it’s very creamy and the taste of tomato is well-balanced. however, i feel like over the years their pork belly has decreased in quality much thinner slices. it’s a good idea to add an extra ramen egg, it is marinated very well. i still really like this place and will return!
I had been meaning to try Kokoro for some time after a recommendation from a friend and I'm so glad I finally went! We ordered the Niku Mazesoba, Spicy Mazesoba, and the chicken karaage. The mazesoba bowls are definitely really filling, we didn't need to order the karaage. The mazesoba was declious. Creamy and full of richness and plentiful toppings. We had tons of sauce leftover after finishing our noodles to mix in with the complimentary bowl of rice that you can order. Highly recommend trying the mazesoba!
Pretty good tasting mazesoba, and ramen. Interesting experience where you can add more flavours as you eat. Meat is done well, flavours are good. Shop atmosphere is nice, and great food presentation.Food: 5/5
