kj's Hideaway

We discovered kj’s through a favorite local band that was playing a swing music show there one Friday night. What a great find this place was! The friendly owner greeted us at the door upon our arrival, the staff were wonderful throughout the entire evening, and the brownie sundae we shared was fantastic. I would return for the dessert and the music. It was a perfect Friday night!

Cool place to have a drink and chill with nice live music. I liked the flatbread when i was there. Great atmosphere as well.

The drinks were good. The music was great. I would recommend getting there early for a spot. We didn’t and ended up finding spot at the bar but still a cool experience.

I’m overjoyed that kjs has filled the void left by the closing of Viuex Carre. This is one of the finest and most intimate jazz clubs in the cities. Great sound and every seat has a view. Joseph crafted our cocktails and is a passionate a creatively driven mixologist. The menu is simple and affordable, and the soup is a standout item - delicious! I’d advise them to hone their serving program as on a busy night it seemed they struggled to keep up. But overall thank goodness this club is back and bringing us terrific local jazz! Can't wait to get back there soon for some more blues, jazz or something in between . Atmosphere is great and so is the staff. They are just getting started so let's help them settle in for awhile.

Lovely hidden gem in downtown St Paul. Great food and drinks, and quality live music

Happened upon this place after a concert at Xcel while staying at the Saint Paul Hotel. The owners were there and so accommodating and fun to talk with. The bartender Mitch was amazing. Can't wait to go back!!!

Good food. Good music. I apprwciate their support of local artists.
