Pros: The facility is well maintained and set in a beautiful area. There's lots of parking. The hours are great on the weekends. Cons: My lock didn't fit the locker. It was challenging to find the women's change room at the fitness centre. There was no signage except for the men's that I could see. The stairwell to the fitness center ended at a wall that had no signage either. The person I asked for directions was harsh in his giving them in my opinion - maybe having a bad day. And my being a bit older and not seeing anyone else in their 40s-50s, I felt a bit out of place.
Really great gym with an actually hot sauna. I'm really impressed with the space. Lots of space in the weight room. Gets a bit busy in the evening but can't beat the price of a OneCard.
The change room and sauna are a major health hazard, bugs in the drain, slime on the floor, musky smell coming from the change room and sauna. HELL this summer I saw green algae growing in shower. It’s a union job so the janitors literally do the absolute minimal job possible. Place looks like it hasn’t had a prober detail in 10 years. Should probably just tear the building down and fire the janitors and manage. 100% chance that people are getting infections If you gym here please help the community by also writing an negative review and complaining and together we can make a difference. I mean we live in kitsilano and not east Hastings for a reason right ?!??
Two parking lots, several places to lock up your bike, ice rink and the fitness centre is open even if the community centre isn't. Very well thought out facility, + the sauna is one of the hottest I've been in!
Worked out there. Really enjoyed it. I really like their gym there, which is super cool because 13+ can work out there.
We came approx at 14:30-14:50 to your community center and was rejected to withdraw from activity in a very rude way. My spouse, kid and I came to the reception and said to withdraw from an activity. Person from your community said “when the activity started”, i answered that I have a medical condition pregnancy and would like to withdraw from ballet. The person kept repeating the question “when the activity started” in a rude repetitive way and that “I cannot withdraw after 2nd class”. I answered that it was 5th class. The person said “write an e-mail”, I said I already wrote and you e-mail is not working delivery error. The person said can’t do anything call on Monday. We already called during the week and person on the phone said we need to come. The person at the reception wasn’t listening and said call in Monday loudly. Me and husband didn’t understand English very well during this conversation and we think the person at the reception was disgusted that we are not fluent English speakers and was behaving like a racist. She acted like a real racist, completely disrespected me, raised her voice and did not want to listen. I liked your community center so much, but this woman completely spoils the whole impression. help me understand the situation. I have never been so humiliated in my life. It was woman with short hair.

Just spoke with a staff member over the phone and she was great! Unfortunately couldn't get her name but she was helpful looking for everything that I needed!
The staff and patrons here are stellar and everyone seems to like helping eachother. Been going for about a month and have only run into a creep 1x
Clean, relatively quiet, spacious, and lots of varying equipment. Lots of parking. Staff have been great so far as well!
