Excellent small intimate izakaya hidden upstairs. Amazing food, amazing booze incl proper Japanese craft beer and excellent sake, amazing service. Definitely worth checking out. One of the best restaurants I've been to in the city. Vegetarian options: Plenty of charcoal grilled vegetable skewers & side dishes. Dietary restrictions: Excellent for Keto and other gluten-free and sugar-free dietary restrictions.
Overall a good experience. Upstairs is the yakitori, downstairs is ramen. Arrived at 630 and it was pretty much empty Ordered 2 orders each of five dishes plus a beer came out to approximately $80 with tip I believe Favorites: the scallop, pork jowl and the chicken thighs with scallions. The rice cake wrapped in pork belly was interesting The beef steak skirt was okay. Wouldn't order that again There's an option for sauced or salt, would recommend the sauced version because it can be bland without it Don't expect to walk out full without spending a bit, but it was fun and tasty to try
Unique yakitori experience in Toronto - it’s a small & cozy spot located on the second floor. Dishes are small & made for sharing as it’s a tapas style great interior especially with the walls which made me feel like I was in the streets of Tokyo & even the washrooms are nicely decorated! If you sit at the bar, you can see the chefs at work behind the glass.
Amazing food and open late! Good selection of sake, and really good and quick service. Can't wait to come back.Food: 5/5
This place is open again!!! Authentic Japanese skewers and bar snacks, there's not a lot of similar Izakaya in this part of town. The wait staff is new and getting the hang of things. Very juicy chicken wing with nice charcoal aroma. Don't let this place close again!!
Skewers was so so. The egg inside the scotch egg doesn't look or taste marinated. The onigiri, hmm just look at the picture.. The shapes are not consistent and they need to be grilled for a couple more mintures, not caramelized at all. Rice was a bit too wet as well.Food: 2/5
Absolutely love the food and atmosphere here! High quality ingredients and overall great dining experience!
Very tasty and would definitely be coming back for drinks to compliment this savoury meal!Food: 5/5
