I would give this restaurant 10 if possible. It was the best Japanese restaurant ever. Owner and staff is super friendly, very attentive, super polite, such amazing and great people. Love meeting and talking to them. The quality of the seafood, fish, everything, even the cooked dishes was amazing. Super fresh, super delicious, everything was amazing. No words could describe the freshness, the quality and the taste. It was the best Japanese dinner ever. Even better than an high end omakase restaurant I’ve tried We specially requested different types of fish and other special items that are not on their menu. If you have any special request you must pre order 1 week in advance so that they can get you the freshest fish from Japan. This restaurant is a must try and you will 100% not be disappointed. Super amazing people and delicious food. I highly recommend trying this amazing restaurant and I will 100% be back again!!!! Already looking forward to the next time. Special thanks to the super amazing and friendly owner, for allowing us to experience and eat such an amazing dinner.

The food taste so delicious and the sashimi are so fresh n staying at a chill temperature. The servers are super friendly with excellent service. Good atmosphere and it’s perfect to have a party or friends gathering there. But you need to make an reservation ahead and they will prepare the rest and the best for you. Honestly, I can’t find anything that need to be improved and it’s perfect. This is my first time to write a review on a restaurant. I am so lucky that my friends have invited me to try this amazing sushi restaurant.

Hands down the best sushi place I’ve have ever ate in, in my life! Amazing service and amazing quality sushi. We have special requests of different fish and items that may not be on the menu so you must pre-order those special dishes a week in advance. I would highly recommend to all sushi lovers, this place will not disappoint you!

I really, really enjoyed my time at New Generation. The service was great and the environment was nice and quiet. The real highlight was the sashimi. It was super fresh and delicious. I actually haven’t had sashimi that fresh in a long time. We ordered a couple rolls and the sashimi diamond platter to share, as well as tempura, karaage, edamame, and sake. They gave us a couple miso soups on the house and I believe the meal came with a complimentary scoop of ice cream. This is definitely one of my favourite places for sushi in the Annex. Would definitely recommend!

Whenever I want a good Bento Box and comforting sushi, I go here! The Ume Box is usually what I always get! It is one of my most delicious bento boxes and definitely worth every penny. It comes with so much food that I always have to ask for take out boxes at the end of my meal. I always upgrade the sushi for only $2 and get beef maki or shrimp tempura maki. You also get a miso soup and salad all for under $20. The customer service is always great - all the staff is so friendly and if you need anything they are always so quick to get it! Highly recommend eating here for lunch or dinner if you are in the Bloor St area. Theres some street parking and also a green P right across the street.

All the food was really good. Fresh, high quality fish and sushi was so yummy. The services was excellent. The price is reasonable. Highly recommend!

I've been eating here at least once or twice a month for the last 10 years. Sushi is big, and the staff as well as owner are just delightful folks.

This place is difficult to spot but it's surprisingly nice and calm. Rolls were really tender and our Bento Box was full of tasty things. The stuff was incredibly polite! Drop in when you're nearby! A truly great place for sushi!

Pleasantly surprised by the service, atmosphere and options. Was looking for an AYCE spot but came here and was very happy. We shared a mixed tempura app., and ordered two combos and substituted one of the options out for dynamite and spicy Salmon. We had to pay a bit extra but it was worth it. They offered an extra soup and salad since we ordered two and there were three of us. Everything tasted very fresh and yummy! they do not over-do it with the rice on the Maki's as some AYCE places do. They offered us some complimentary ice cream in the end which was much appreciated! Atmosphere is super cute. There are some paintings on the wall that liven the place up. Service was great, I was stuffed and paid less than an AYCE spot would've cost. Will be back!

Absolutely top shelf sushi spot to satisfy your sashimi, sushi, or Japanese cravings . The service and food along with plating in a gorgeous boat...is worthy of a Michelin star! Super fresh fish, delicious dining experience at an absolutely affordable price. If you order the sashimi dinner...take note it's enough for two to dine on! Will definitely being eating here again as this is the first sushi restaurant that hasnt made me feel 'OFF' after dining. Must be the fact they keep their fish at proper chill temperatures to avoid diners falling ill.
