Nice, spacious campground with most lots below broadleaf and pine trees. Bathrooms are clean and well kept. The park is about 10 minutes away from Hood River for convenient grocery and supply outings. Decent cell service allowed me to check email and browse the web. Good proximity to the Historic Columbia River highway walking trail and some truly lovely waterfalls. It can't be helped, but the electrical sites (and a few tent sites) are sandwiched in between the highway and the Union Pacific rail line. I was able to sleep through the noise, but during the day, conversation could get tricky. All in all, enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back if I'm in the area!

Tons of families camping. We didn't do anything else but have a tent site overnight. Would definitely come back though

Stayed here twice and love the shady camp ground spots and electrical/water hookups.. Can wind surf early every morning or paddle board to Hood river from campground beach. Bathrooms have ALOT of flying bugs. And bring ear plugs for the train.

So Loud!!! The park is between a busy highway and a very active railroad. Our site was no more than 50 feet from a busy train track. The train went by every hour all night long. Not only that, because there is a crossing, it blows its horn three times as it passes the campground. It sounds like it's coming right into your tent. Yes, the grounds are nice and the facilities are clean, but even with our ear plugs we were awake most of the night due to the trains and highway noise. Left a day early.

Campsites here are so nice and shady. Flat and clean. The creek that runs by is a fun easy hike and very beautiful. It's near the highway so you do get the sound a bit but not as bad as some places.
