Glad my friend Mike brought me here. Good atmosphere, calm music, great service, the greet customers with a smile on, well maintained, the meals were carefully prepared, big portion for a good price. I will be definitely coming back & bringing more people with me. Located in the heart of Chinatown, I highly recommend it.
Great food at great price. Lunch menu is 12$ before taxes during the week. You have 9 different choices. It’s come with hot and sour soup and egg roll except for some. The general tao meal and the cantonese chow mein is pretty good.
Best authentic Chinese restaurant in Montreal. Amazing food and service. You should def try Appetizer #16!Food: 5/5
If you compare to the old kanbai, you'll be disappointed. But the restaurant on its own is good, but to great. Prices are ok and service is goodFood: 5/5
The new ownership has continued the same high quality of the food and service. Food was delicious and the service was very attentive. I will definitely be back to try more dishes.Food: 5/5
I love Chinese food and have been to many Chinese restaurants, so I somewhat had some expectations towards Kimbai. And my experience there didn't disappoint. The food was very fresh and the portion was very good for the price. The dishes were not overly oily and the meat ratio was also good some places serve a dish 85% pepper and only 15% meat. The person that was serving us was also very friendly and considerate. This spot will definitely be one I'll be coming back to whenever I'm in Chinatown and craving for some yummy Chinese food.
You will not find better Chinese food in Montreal. They are consistently great! We ordered salt and pepper chicken, ginger beef with ginger, grilled beef with hot peppers, black bean shrimp, various noodles and the quality of their meats is superior to all other restaurants in the area. The customer service is top notch, they made a small error and were so quick to correct it and kindly apologized for the oversight. Overall, please give it a try is you’re looking for high quality and authentic Chinese food.
Had fried calamari with a bowl of rice. Very tasty. Good service
Our hotel tried to send us to another restaurant, but my friend had her mind made up that she wanted to go to KimBai instead. So glad we did. The food was amazing. The service was great. We both left satisfied. I loved the soup served with my meal.Food: 5/5
