My boyfriend and I went there for one night on our way back up to BC. We stayed there in the middle of the week and it was completely empty, maybe only four or five other campers throughout the entire campground. The campground host came by about two hours after we set up and welcomed us. She informed us of the events that were going on the next weekend and that there was a fire ban on starting the next night. Our campsite was on the very back edge of the campground so it was very close to the riverbank. The walk down was steep and the river was cold, but it was extremely refreshing because of the scorching hot weather. Although we did not have neighbours during our stay, there would have been very limited privacy between our site and the one over. The bathroom was very clean and fully stocked, would be better if there was showers. One downfall is that there are not a lot of trees, there are some but they are a lot higher up and don't provide enough shade. I'm not to sure if it was just our site, or others further in as well. If you are just passing through and only staying for one night DO NOT book online as you are forced to pay for two nights. If you are staying for two nights or more, booking online would be a good decision because a majority of sites were reserved for three to four days at a time. Would stay there again!

I reserved a spot here thinking it wasn't too far from home and wouldn't be too bad. The campground looks nice, but doesn't have access to the water except if you scale down a rocky cliff bank. There is a "swim beach" 14 miles up the road forcing us to drive, and it doesn't allow pets which means I would have to leave my dog behind to roast in the heat!!!!!!!!! Especially this summer its brutal. Then the camp host has a stick up her a**. She constantly drove around checking up on people, I woke up early the first morning and she was already slowly creeping by! Never have I camped somewhere were they spy on you all day just waiting for you to do something wrong. They also expect your dogs to be on a lease at all times. I understand if were to go walking around exploring, but if I'm just at my campsite and my dog is staying close not wandering off they should not have to be chained up the whole time! I mean I came to camp and have fun in the wilderness!!!!!!!!!! Basically this place is great if you have an R.V. and a boat to go boating all day, and no pets! Never again!
