Great place for a local brunch! They serve delicious bannock with many flavors worth trying, both sweet and savory. Such incredible service and recommendations too, loved every minute here. The matcha lavender freeze was perfect too, I was impressed with everything here. Highly recommended!
We were a bit disappointed with the vegan breakfast options as only things were left out instead of replaced. so we only had tomato and hummus on our sandwich -> We still paid the full price. We honestly addressed our disappointment and suggested replacing egg with tufo, for example, in the future. The young employee listened to it. A short time later he came back and said that it was passed on "upstairs" to make sure our request was received and totally understood. Now that's what I call excellent customer service!!! The hazelnut latte was very tasty and so was the food in general. The staff are very friendly.
Stopped here on our Canada US road trip - Amazing food, large portions, really tasty - recommend the powerbowl, I had the salmon one. Staff are friendly, the coffee is good I had a maple Frappuccino. Couldn’t finish the portion so I took the rest with me in one of their containers. Would recommend.Food: 5/5
First time at this place in Merritt. Really nice vibe and customer service. My wild salmon bowl was fabulous and we loved the pumpkin cranberry scone. The Saskatoon Tea Latte was my favourite - so delicious and reminded me of my Saskatchewan roots.Food: 4/5
Latte was very good, bannock bacon sandwich’s were so good. Took a box of assorted different bannock. Pleasure to stop at a Indigenous cafe highly recommendFood: 5/5
The salmon bowl for me was just OK, but then I grade harshly, cause I can cook , better than this . When I walked into the cafe , I was expecting something of the res, but then that won’t bring the crowds or pay the bills. Wished I had a million dollars to prop the business up because the travellers need to have authentic FN food ! Period! Service was great but the atmosphere was lacking zing . I wanna see some artifacts, something that represents the FN peoples. BTW I am Caucasian, but I thirst for more .all in all not a bad meal ,
The bannock sandwich was amazing! I loved it ans I want to try again.Food: 5/5
Staff were very friendly and even complimented my tattoos! The cafe is clean and spacious. It was a very welcoming environment. My kid is a picky eater but holy man did he ever wolf down his bannock taco bowl thing. He was happy to hear that there were other location in other cities too and asked for us to stop at them. I highly recommend the Saskatoon Berry drinks! They reminded me of home Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian option in every section Dietary restrictions: They had lots of vegetarian options Parking: Parking is free on side of building Kid-friendliness: Lots of space for me and my big kid Wheelchair accessibility: The building is wheel chair accessible and there are no stairs
I can only speak to the service and the bannock, but both are excellent. My first time trying bannock so I cannot say how it may compare relative to other bannock, but just as a baked/fried bread, it is excellent. The fact you are supporting a local business with such an obviously meaningful commitment to the community which it serves is just icing on the…bannock!
Awesome to see a wonderful indigenous eatery serving up some delicious treats! So glad that I found this place during my road trip. The blueberry, apple, and venison bannock breads were absolutely delicious. Soft, fluffy bannock with a hint of sweetness. The fillings were generous with balanced flavours. Incredible value, big portions. Fry bread was super yummy too and is the perfect accompaniment with a piping hot coffee. Clean, open layout restaurant with ample seating. Coffee was rich and perfectly roasted. Service was smiley and warm. Just can’t rave about this place enough!! Please please please open up a store in Vancouver!!!
