I ordered the creamy broth which I expected to have a creamy and thick soup base but it was too salty for my taste, ended up having to drink plenty of water. Overall it was not bad. They are generous with the pork and other ingredients. I will certainly try other type of broth the next time I visit.
I was pleasantly surprised to have such good food in a small restaurant that looks ordinary. The fried chicken is one of the best in Montreal, as are the octopus balls. The ramen was excellent in texture and rich in flavor. The service is very good, the only downside is that there is no beer or sake available. It is one of the best Japanese ramen restaurants in Montreal. Highly recommended! !
Been doing take out for a couple of weeks now and the menu is delightful. The place is well decorated and reminds me of authentic Japan restos. Very intimate dining area perfect for a date! A must try & a flavourful experience to your senses !
We came as a group of 3, didn’t expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised by the taste. Especially the Takoyaki and Karaage, they are probably within the top 3 best in Montreal. The Kazo special ramen toppings are a little different from the typical ramen restaurants. However, they go quite well with the ramen so no complaints here. Small recommendation, the karaage could use a little stronger flavouring my preference
We have been to this place a few times now ... Both for lunch and dinner ... They close at 3pm and open back up at 5pm ... We cannot say enough about how good the food is ... Each time we try something new and it beats our expectations ... The staff are SUPER friendly and always smiling, very attentive and we just cannot say enough about how much we appreciate the way they treated us while enjoying their fantastic food ... In all the visits so far, have not have a single thing that wasn't great and everyone we have brought with us has raved about it afterwards !!! We even made the joke that if we lived or worked in the area, we would be going here 2-3 times a week minimum becuase for the value, you could not achieve making this at home for this price ! Vegetarian options: We did not inquire, but looked like there was ... Kid-friendliness: There is no specific kids menu. Parking: There is a large parking lot and always space available. Wheelchair accessibility: It is ground floor entrance. Dietary restrictions: I would clarify before ordering.
I ordered their shoyu ramen and tantanmen. The visuals look great. The portion is also decent, with a bunch of toppings which are not common in most ramen places in MTL. Toppings are also cheap and the karrage looked appetizing. Restuarant has a good Japanese vibe which I think would be better if it was a sushi place. However, the ramen doesn't taste like a Japanese ramen. The place is run by Chinese people so I assume they rearranged it with chinese spices so that the ramen tastes closer to a Chinese noodle. I'm not saying that Chinese noodles are bad. I enjoy authentic Chinese food as well but as someone who visited many Japanese ramen places within Canada, the taste wasn't what I was expecting. In my opinion, Chinese Japanese fusion isn't the best as China uses very strong spices whereas Japanese usually go for the sweet salty flavor.
Everything was perfect, fast service, great staff, great food. Menu a bit hard to read but the waitress was all happy to explain. Prices are fair, food is fresh, very warm soup with flavorful broth. I recommend.Food: 5/5
The soup was just as described, thick broth that stuck to the noodles. Very generous with the toppings that I don't think you need to add extras. The side was very crispy outside, juicy and tender inside, not dry like some other places. Will come back and try other ramen. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces
Thrilled to see a ramen place finally open in Lasalle! We ordered via UberEats tonight for the first time. Got the Tonkatsu and Shoyu with a Karaage entrée. Everything was decent. Im not used to seeing red onions in my ramen though so found that odd?Maybe they were out or green onion ? Extremely generous with the char su and pork shoulder, noodles too. Nothing bad to say about the food! We were pretty satisfied. My biggest comment is the packaging. Because we ordered through UberEats, I feel like restaurants should make an effort to ensure that their food is packaged very securely to withstand the transportation. Our food arrived leaking out of the bag. It was a mess, one of the lids on the broth containers had completely off and so we lost more than half of it. See photos.
Absolutely first-rate ramen! This is the creamy tiro, which has a chicken base. I ordered extra noodles, chicken, mushrooms, and green onion. The broth is rich, super savoury, and complex. The noodles have just the right chew and stand up beautifully to the broth. All the toppings are fantastic. Next time I might get extra egg as well because the egg is perfectly soft-boiled with a deep soy flavour to boost it up a notch. Looking forward to my next visit!
