Adonia Casual Greek Family Dining

This restaurant is closing their dining room on February 24, 2019 , permanently, according to their Web site, but maintaining the take-out service. A nice restaurant in a strip mall... nicer than the location and exterior would suggest; see my photo taken at a very quiet time. Fancier than most restaurants in a strip mall would be. Lots of parking. It's Greek but has Canadian foods too and some pastas. Until mid-November, they have a Buy One Get One for 50% deal - on about six entrees. You each need to order a drink too. Surprisingly, we both had the meatloaf, not the salmon, and it was very good, with home made potatoes and Greek salad. I had the backlava for dessert and it was excellent, perhaps too sweet for some people. We did not try the Greek items so cannot comment on those. Dinner for two with the special deal, with a drink each was $55 including tax, plus tip. Friendly service.

Good food, waitresses are friendly. Can fill up so reservations are a must during peak dinner hours.

Was there tonight with my parents for dinner. We started off with the bruschetta with feta. It was so tasty and flavourful...I wish we had ordered more! Mains included the Chicken Pita with Greek Salad, Seafood Platter, and the Peppercorn Steak. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It was obvious that everything had been cooked fresh. Dessert was a brownie cheesecake which was also very good. The server very nice, and she made sure to check on us a few times. I would definitely recommend!

It was okay...i asked for a gyro and I didn't anticipate I would just get pieces of meat on top of my salad? When I googled gyro it shows a pita filled with meat and lettuce with veggies...i was told I could get that version only with fries? I wanted Greek salad! Basically was told I couldn't get it with salad? Need to make some changes! Waitress was very good and I know she was just following what she was trained to do and say! Too bad they couldn't fill my request as I would of paid extra but there was NO changing for me! Nice little spot but I won't be going back...shame! Food tasted good so give it chance!

We stopped here during a long car trip because our daughter was hungry, and not knowing the area didn't know different options. We were ignored to be seated for almost 5 minutes. There seemed to be only one server and she wasn't very personable. Our order was taken quickly but the table next to us waited over 30 minutes to have tbeir oder taken and finally just left. It took an hour to get our food. The whole time we could see food constantly going in and out of a microwave from our seats. The chicken with the chicken souvlaki I ordered was moist and quite good but a little cold. The pork souvlaki my husband ordered was so tough it was inedible. The rest of the meal wasn't any better than food court greek food at the mall. The server never came back to refill our drinks or ask if everything was ok. She did ask us how things were as she put through our credit card but when we tried to be honest claimed she didn't understand us. Not sure if that was true or not. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. 2 stars because at least my chicken wasn't over done.

If I could give less I would.. As the owner of a professional & successful business working with the public.. I was completely shocked to be told very rudely that the kitchen was closing in 5 mins .. at 7:30, they're business hours are open till 8 ! That tells me one of 2 things either they feel that they are too successful and have no care for new customers or it was more important to close early then to serve new customers. That is an unfortunate attitude! Won't be back !

Although service is slower, it's a great place to go with family and to have a relaxing evening. Do not go for a quick dinner, if you want to enjoy a couple of hours in a small place this is your cup of tea. 3 stars as the interior could use a little tlc

The food is comforting home cooked meals. Great service, fair pricing for food. Great lunch spot, and the take out is quick. Will be adding this restaurant into the repertoire.

This place is basically stuck in the 70s. It feels like the owner is trying to get rich off of the same old building that has been here forever. No passion in the food, very bland tasting. Portions were good, but it wouldn't hurt to care about your food or surroundings.

Served dried fried chicken when I order roasted chicken! Service was poor. The restaurant wasnt even full and I waited to be served a table. Waitress took long to take order, and food came out 1hr after. I ordered roasted chicken and they served me dry KFC. For a greek restaurant, this was a joke.
