Quaint little location. Service was fast, friendly and accurate. The food was amazing, large portions, huge flavour. The cheese never overpowered the pork cutlets, and the cutlets were perfectly crispy even when dressed with the sauce. Again, portions were huge, so if you don't have the largest appetite, you can definitely share one order with your friend and/or your partner. Chicken Karage is definitely one to come back for. Crispy outside, soft moist chicken throughout. Definitely will be back

Good food. Service is a bit slow due to lack of personnel. The staff are nice and polite. Near the skytrain station. Limited free parking. Reasonable price. The table near the door us not a good idea during winter or cold days. Not accessible for persons with disabilities. How come the staff inside are not using their face mask properly. They are supposed to be face mask and not chin guards. Update: Visited this place again January 30, 2022 Sunday night. We were served a bit faster this time we were the only customer inside. Our food was good and it all came at the same time. The ladies that served us are great. The guys that prepared our food are still wearing their chin guards face mask. See you next time.

Love the food and the option. The potato ball forgot the name is surprisingly tasty. Went there a few time after and a bit disappointed that the more tender pork option is gone but still won’t stop me from going again. A side note, I ordered delivery from this restaurant one time and the way they prepared it was perfect. Felt exactly the same as dine in. They separated the sauce and pork so the fried pork chop won’t get soggy when it comes.

Was sad because the Robson location closed but now I'm extremely happy because this location's food actually tastes better! 80% Chicken / 20% Breading. Wow! The Ebi Tempura with the Tar-tar was incredible!! Very family-friendly restaurant and the service was very good! I 100% will be back.

Looking for an original authentic Japanese meal to try? Katsuya is worth your time and $. We ordered: 1-Carbonara 5/5 great if you are into seafood flavor 2- Original 4/5 would recommend trying something more flavorful 3- Brick Cheese 4/5 only order if you are into cheese very much personally i felt the cheese over powered the rest of the taste but it was a fun dish to try. All food came with refill great warm miso soup . Fun fact: their shop bakes fresh bread everyday and use it to make the special panko breading on top of the meat. Note: portions are big and generous plan to go on an empty stomach!

Portion sizes are massive! Easy to find location. Ample parking. Restaurant itself is very cute with wood touches everywhere. Clean. Service is fast and friendly. Miso soup and pickled side refills!

Great little spot. Food was good all around except the carbonara sauce on the cutlet had broken so was a little lumpy and grainy. Assuming the regular curry sauces that are more regular would be better. Will try one of them next time I go.Food: 4/5

Tasty Katsu pork, fish, and chicken! They even bake their own bread to make the crusty bread crumbs. Impressive. Also a good deal as all meals come with refillable miso soup and rice.

Nice spot for a meal. Got the original pork loin katsu as recommended and the batter was crispy while the pork was still juicy. Big portions although prices are on the higher side to be fair, most places are pricier now. It did take some time for the food even though they weren’t busy though so if you’re in a rush this might be an issue.

Huge portions and delicious food. I got the original Katsu with cheese and it was huge! It came with rice, cabbage salad, and Katsu with sauce. It was so good and very filling. You get a free refill on the miso soup, salad and rice. Service was friendly and it was my first time there so I had a few questions and they were super patient with all my questions. I would definitely go back.
