Kaslo Hotel & Pub

Friendly staff. Good food. Reasonable prices. I had the pasta, which was better than I expected. The burgers and poutine looked good on other tables, but I haven't tried it. Also, it was pretty much the only restaurant open on a Sunday evening.

great pub, with a good selection of micro- brews and great food. Hotel rooms are big, beds are comfy, sharp trim work and nice bathrooms. The best part is the view though!

Can't fault it. Beautiful, comfortable, clean. First rate room with a view to die for. Such friendly, helpful, yet unobtrusive staff. And the food was amazing too.

Have eaten at the pub here a couple times. Love the patio! Looking over the lake. If its a nice day out, eat here. Food is pretty great too. Has the burger with mushrooms. No canned stuff here. Will be back.

Have eaten here a total of 4 times, suffered food poisoning 2 times, the other two times, the food was undercooked, or over cooked. And my spouse is an employee, who has had to fight for the wages promised to her in the advertisement (13 dollars an hour for both experienced dishwashers and prep cooks) when asked, the owners quickly said that was only for prep cooks, but the add said both. And she was to receive a summer bonus, which was titled to all employees in the kitchen who worked the summer (management then said it was only for prep cooks) we do have our lawyer reviewing their adds, and they said, it is very illegal for them to do this, and how the add is worded, entitles her to that wage and bonus. Despite this the atmosphere is really nice, but as an employee in the kitchen, both I and my spouse have witnessed, rotten food being served by the head chef, as patrons, we have both experienced food poisoning. There are a lot of other restaurants in kaslo, that served home cooked food (the hotel serves most things out of a box or can) and they also treat their employees and customers with the respect the deserve, you are better off eating at chez serge, food is homemade, and is afforable, seriously? Who wants to pay for a 16 dollar beef dip when the roast beef and au Jui sauce comes out of a container? Do yourself a favour and support the other well deserving, alcohol and food serving establishments, who are owned by Canadians and truely care about their food, they treat you as people, where as the kaslo hotel and pub, treats you as a number and a sale. They do not care about the safety or well being of any of their customers. Almost all kitchen employees do not have a good safe, and the head chef has one issued in 1992
