Kootenay Lake Wilderness Resort & Air Park

My husband and I went there in the weekend to check out an available seasonal lot to park our RV. We haven’t made our decision, but there are a few things that I will share that drew us to inquire: - there is a dog beach separate from the people beach. Our pointers love the water, so we would have a tough time keeping them from water. - it appears to have a lot of amenities, such as showers, a dishwashing station - aside of the spectacular view of the lake and mountains, you have a great view of the ferry coming and going The only concern we really had was getting our trailer down to the available lot. The decline is fairly steep. food for thought for the upcoming summer season

Just got back from 4 days and 3 nights at Souls Paradise Resort, and loved it. It was relaxing, the view is breathtaking, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities were cleaned daily, and fully stocked. FREE SHOWERS!!! The water/ beach was the highlight for my kids 19 years old and 7 years old, my husband enjoyed launching his boat and fishing as well! Our family highly recommends this campground if you are in the area!! Huge thanks to Valérie and her family for our incredible stay! We will for sure be back!

Had a great stay. We stayed up top and it was nice and quiet, birds constantly singing, lots of trees. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. Kids enjoyed playing with the supplied yard toys. It was nice having a running toilet near our site and access to the she shower house. Beach is small yet enjoyable. Would definitely visit again.

I went there to film videos for my business, it was incredible. The day time was perfect. At night, the stars were amazing and the other people on site were so friendly. They didn't care if I was filming videos by the beach, playing music or having a fire. Such a welcoming and friendly environment. I brought my tent and car and the site was perfect for it. I would highly recommend.

Staff are really welcoming and kind. My visit at Soul's Paradise was wonderful! I had the chance to eat fresh apples, plums etc. Go swimming, boat etc. The Kootenay lake and environment are extraordinary. I stayed in the cozy cabin and it was very comftable. I wish to go back as soon as I can! Highly recommend it!Rooms: 5/5

Hey!! It’s my third year, first year I was using the Grandview chalet which really has the grand view! Fully equipped which everything you may need. Quiet and peaceful. Second year I bought a tent and camped twice on the beach side in the middle on many activities and fire pit by the lake. I also camped in the upper loop which is in a wooded area which is a totally awesome area! And now finally in my third year I have purchased a fifth wheel and fishing boat which I leave on site year round. I will be there till the end of the season for sure. After 30 years of no fishing it was longer for me to tread the lures on my rod than to catch some fish. There are nice trout and up to now feeding me constantly. As for the facilities I can only say it’s 5 star camp ground. I highly recommend this area and campground

Enjoyed our stay here at Soul's Paradise, quiet beach, beautiful views, very relaxing. The only issue is the trailer sani dump, it is not a drive thru loop, you have to back your trailer out to leave. Overall we had a great time and would definitely go back!

We never stayed there- heard they rented out sup boards etc. Drove there to find out they only rent to their guest. Which is totally fine and understandable...yes we sat on their beach and watched not one sup board, canoe or kayak be used. Which turned us off from this place. Much nicer beaches around.

We stayed in one of the chalets at Soul's and absolutely loved it. It was clean, private, roomy and great location. Also, very affordable. We were extremely happy with everything and plan on returning next year.

An absolute gem in Kootenay Bay!! The location was great! Just less than 5 mins from the Balfour ferry, close to Crawford Bay for shopping needs. The campground itself was clean, full of amenities showers, laundry, activities, and multiple restrooms We chose the “Happy Glamper” and found everything sparkly clean. Our hosts made sure we had everything, and I mean everything. Camper was fully stocked, all we needed was food. This is a must visit when you are looking to stay in the area. We originally booked 4 days & ended up staying 7 as we loved it so much. Can not wait to return. Thank you to our amazing hosts!!!!
